  1. I still have the loom so I could snip the plug off with cable to solder it into your loom.

Can't you reseal your pump? Undo the screws and epoxy it back together for a kill or cure fix?

I dont think the pump you have pictured would sit under the engine plastics... ideally, I want a one time fix with a new pump for peace of mind... dont fancy repairing it, as it does let go, then you can gurantee it would be when im not at home :)

Plus, it would be beneficial to everyone if cheaper pumps can be sources as 3corsameal says, 120 quid is a little expensive for what it is!!

  2. ahh yeah, looks different than on the VR6 (plug wise) and te part number you posted is not included on that ebay link....

dont know weather to take the plunge and order it, as the plug looks correct in the picture, other "V6" models are included like galaxy, golf etc... so would assume its the right one..

  3. You would need to purchase a genuine ross-tech cable, the licence for VCDS is held in the dongle, so will work will all past / present / future versions of the software.... :)

you can buy 3rd party cables, but you will be restricted to using old versions of VAG-COM...

best to stump up the cash, go genuine to future proof yourself, ive made saved money 10x over over the years.. total life-saver...

  4. Fingers crossed... I typed in the VAG part # on eBay.de and if lists the golf mk3 vr6 but not the corrado but part # 251 965 561 B is listed under the reference stuff on the post....

Even ECP want £115 for the pump. No way do I want pay that and im sure no one else does either!

I'm sure there's an arrow in the CDA to tell you what way it should go on...if you find it is the opposite way to your stickers then I'd say someone has had it apart to clean it and put it together the wrong way around so simply undo the screws and swap around so it all lines up properly.

  6. I use mine for all of the vr6oc.com development using FTP on the go Pro and an application called Koder for coding... Great for games too, Skype, FaceTime awesome web browsing (who needs flash these days? No one... It's an ageing technology.) but of you really do then you can use Puffin... Other uses I use mine for is reading, storing all my useful PDF documents (Bentley manual, corrado related material etc..) work emails...

I've also got a MacBook pro which I rarely use anymore... Don't even need the laptop for updating or restoring backups! iCloud for the win!

    Technology is amazing isn't it?

  7. I picked up my goodridge hoses for £23 direct from goodridge themselves (know someone who works there that sent me them at cost manufacturing price)

I ordered a set of 1997 golf mk3 VR6 hoses as I had upgraded to 288's up front. all went on without any issues... apart from some unions rounded off, and I had to replace some of the hardlines (had some made up by the chap on here that does them) really nice fit unlike the other copper ones someone had previously made up that were routed all over the place....

  8. so does anyone have the Bosch part number for the pump used on the VR6's? I remember seeing something agggeeeessss ago about this, but seems like a lot of aux pumps giving up the ghost recently so would be nice to be able to source some cheaper genuine articles....

I would imagine it would be something similar to this? (US site..) http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/details/QQVolkswagenQQPassatQQBoschQQAuxiliary_Water_PumpQQ19951997QQW0133-1605189.html
