Unlucky, went there a few times and it is indeed a complete and utter s**t hole!!

Excellent news there 24V Renshaw, don't suppose you can confirm if the SEAT rack will fit a 16v, and which model you got it from (don't have time to read back through the thread at the moment)

Grew up in Accrington (home of the mighty Accrington Stanley), Uni in Manchester, year out spent 6months in Chester rest in Wrexham, moved to Budleigh Salterton nearly 4 years ago.

They have to light up the right colour but they also have to have a reflector that works, if you think when you leave your can on an unlit street at night it's only the reflector that makes it obvious a car is there and stops muppets hitting the back of it. Legally if you spray over the reflectors you have to stick aftermarket halfords jobbies onto the back of the car somewhere. Although the rozzers would have to be pretty bored to pull you over for it.

Corrado Spotting Was it you [Archive March 06]

Saw a dark green m plate VR6 about 9:50am driving through Wonford towards Rifford Road (Exeter) -
Venom motorsport do lightly smoked/red rear lights, and smoked crystal ones. If you tint them yourself you have to make sure the reflectors still work or they're illegal.

I used to have a Toledo (abf engine) with very similar symptoms, as it happens it was written off before I found out what it was but none of the mechanics I spoke to about it knew what the problem was. I did find a thread on seatcupra.net with some suggestions though click From what I managed to find out it seemed like the ecu was the most likely culprit.

Running FK Highsport coilovers and find the dampers harder than I'd like for daily use, you often get passengers who are used to wallowing cars commenting on how bumpy it is. However they are great when you're driving quickly across country roads, body roll is virtually non-existant and it seems more stable under heavy braking. Potholes and speed bumps need to be avoided like the plague though, and if the cabin has any rattles they will be twice as noticeable. To be honest I wish I'd spent the extra 80-100 quid and got the Konigsports instead. How long does it take to fit the ARB's? I'm planning on having the steering rack changed once it's decided which new rack to use - presumably it would be easiest to have both done at the same time?

Mine likes to play that trick aswell and there never seems to be any common variables when it happens (temperature, rain, how long it's been sat). It's not the battery because it did it before the battery was replaced. The fuel pump always primes itself aswell so I doubt that's the problem. Only happens once in maybe fifteen starts so I don't really worry about it, plus it runs perfectly well once it's going and has never stalled. I did mention it to a mechanically minded friend though and he suggested the distributor may be on its way out.

Whats the most embarrasing moment you've had in your corrado

    PMSL ... that is indeed a bad day! -
My sister does that as well, she was following me one day and sent me a text because one of my brake lights had gone, pointless really cos I never read them whilst driving. Worse than that though is one of my mates who has been known to roll joints and smoke them whilst driving down the motorway ... mentalist!

Could have been a Traxxas TCP if it had a carbon chassis, I've got one of those in the loft with either an 8 or 10 turn Reedy motor in it (can't remember which ... 8 years since it last came out). Bloody fast little sod! ... easily kept up with cars driving down the road. Think there's still a ministock up there as well painted like the mini I had for a 1st car 8)

I've got Tarox discs and pads on mine and find the performance of both are fantastic

That'll be this one then...

Saw a red M reg parked up on the main road through Woodbury Salterton this morning -
well the square shaped centre silencer is about £130+vat ... I went for an aftermarket one that was £98 inc vat (only a temporary measure till I get round to putting a full stainless system on). Have to a agree with what crdo16v said earlier though, the chaps in Mann Egerton are generally pretty good. Plus some of the salesmen even know of and like the Corrado! I once blocked something in and I let the chap move it whilst I was being served and he said "lovely car mate, always liked the corrado" when he gave me the keys back :)

Ever regretted a modification? (helpful guide perhaps)

Would have thought that if people were that bothered about the number 666 they would never have designated a road near Blackburn the A666 -
eeeeuuurrrrggghhhh!!!!!!! :pukeright: Those bonnets have no place on decent cars, let the ford boys make their festa's look crap with them, but for the love of god don't ruin a rado with that sort of tat!

I can get to it fine, IMO from a design point of view I would suggest making the background all blue because at high resolutions it looks tiny, and the main VW badge could do without being split up like that. The black 'Corrado' text would look better in a lighter font so it stands out more against the dark blue, and I probably wouldn't have two VW badges on the front page so close together. Your first four interior pictures are a bit too dark as well (though that could just be my screen) Probably a good idea to explain on the frontpage that it's a site just about your own C, and obviously a link to this forum needs adding :) Definately potential for a decent site there though.

Wherever they are it's not anywhere near Budleigh Salterton, it's like God's waiting room! Although top gear filmed a piece on a new Bentley here a year or two ago and Clarkson got it stuck on the beach  Should see a few more if I go to the Exeter meet this sunday 8) -
