  1. As said above it's the PAS fluid, should say on the top of the bottle or cap (probably in German though)? Think he means the owners manual that came with the car, sadly there's no Haynes manual for the rado
  2. Already had a look, it's got the 80's and 2004 ones but not the Karmann visit episode from the 90's
  3. You got PM.. can arrange something to get those videos! :) (Thread resurrection time!) Does anyone have a copy of the top gear episode mentioned above? I'd really like to see that one (sure others would too)
  4. Nice one Phil :thumbleft:, that's just the sort of fix I like (free!), I'll get my mate to have a look, I'd no doubt manage to lose or break a few bits somewhere along the line if I tried it
  5. Phil, when yours stopped adjusting did it still make a clicking sound when you pushed the button? My passenger one sort of works but the drivers side just clicks when you push the button and I don't want to mess about taking the switch off if it's something else that's broken.
  6. cheers chrishill, been seeing saddo's use that 'haxx0r' talk on forums recently (thankfully not this one!) and always wondered what it all meant
  7. Found a BIG pool of oil under mine this morning :( had a look under the bonnet and found the filler cap sat on the inlet manifold, turns out when I topped up the oil the day before (it was dark) I didn't put the filler cap on properly  Luckily I still had some spare oil (lost 2 ltrs!), but the engine is absolutely covered in it now
  8. Top quality install, looks oem, and those wheels are gorgeous! That number plate though ... might as well have NERD written in 2ft high lettering down the side! (what does 'woot' actually mean?)
  9. That's why the coilys on mine are only on the minimum drop, did get caught out entering the Gordano services (M5) car park recently though, there's a speed hump on the way in that looks small, but hit it at any sort of speed and you and everyone in the car park will know about it! Luckily the 90mm chin spoiler can take a fair old battering. I tend to avoid most multi-storey car parks as well, even before lowering the spoiler would scrape on the ramps, dread to think what it would be like now.
  10. Wish I'd thought of doing that when mine were put on. Had them adjusted about two weeks later and they were covered in crap
  11. Most likely a data input error, if you haven't already done so then take a look at the mileage readings in the service history, anything with a massive wedge of legit history is unlikely to be dodgy.
  12. Never seen that one before, like you say it's an interesting read but hardly fair. Still, at least they deemed it worthy to be in the company of 911s and TVRs
  13. Yep the G reg is the MK3, mk4's were only for sale in the uk from 1993-1996.
  14. Pretty sure they had that expensive wax on top gear? It was edible, JC tried it and didn't like it... tasted like car wax apparantly! Anyway, mighty fine job on your car there 4stud, might have a go myself at the weekend
  15. Set of 3 spoke 14" for winter it is then
  16. You could just get some of those stick-on blind spot mirrors? If the TVR mirrors are tinted and curved then I'm definately having some, local TVR dealer's on the way to work as well ... which is nice.
  17. Not the worst, but here's mine sporting a rather fetchin two-tone dirt/black paintjob... really not looking forward to cleaning those wheels :(
  18. That guy's takin' the p1ss! Call your insurance company if you have legal cover, they should be able to sort this out.
  19. Keep the Corrado and like capnahab says insure it at your parents if possible (keep your driving license & V5 registered there as well cos the insurers want a copy if you have an accident). When I lived in a dodgy area of Manchester for a year whilst at Uni the car was supposedly in Devon, saving me about £600 on the premium! They never even asked what it was doing in Manchester when it was broken into twice in the space of 10 days.
  20. I've got Tarox brakes on mine and they are in a completely different league to the standard ones ... fantastic stopping power! The G88 discs are about £175 from motorsportworld.co.uk, Rallye pads are about £65. Pricey but well worth it, my car would be in the written off thread were it not for the brakes! Venom motorsport are good for cheap coilovers, well worth doing just to get rid of the comical ride height!
  21. There was thread on here a few months back about an american one done recently with a merlin engine that was on ebay, can't remember the exact details but pretty sure it was running over a thousand bhp!
  22. Good stuff, my mates have both had modified fords and vauxhalls in the past which is no doubt why they were sceptical. I'll definately be interested in the future, want to have the gaskets, tappets, etc. replaced before upping the power though
  23. Definately do it, I'd be very interested in seeing this.
  24. Anyone know much a new kr inlet cam costs? Having mentioned doing this upgrade to a few of my mates they have all thought putting a second hand cam in is a bad idea.
  25. Get two, if something breaks on the cheap car it's bound to be less money to fix than the rado, plus if it goes badly wrong then you just scrap it and get another cheap runabout. Plus you can put the rado's insurance to social, domestic and pleasure and limited mileage so you'll save money there, and lessen the risk of it being damaged.
