I thought ours was bad, but it looks like I'm the lucky one then with 55p!
-
 Whoa! The stealers have outdone themselves there ... that's £823.06 inc. vat!!! Definately going to be a recon rack.
-
Mine used to have a comfortable ride ... till the coilovers went on! Even a narcoleptic would have trouble sleeping in it now :) Going to get the rear bushes changed though, sometimes it's a little too crashy.

Forgot about petrol cars & their fuel consumption!
steve_16v replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Not necessarily, it's quite likely someone's bought it just to swap the seats for theirs. If it was closer to me I would have bought it, swapped the seats then sold it on. I reckon most people on here with standard cloth would do the same. -
Are brand new racks not available anymore? Mine has quite a few issues but I'd rather put a new rack on than a recon unit, unless it's ridiculously expensive (got quoted about £180 to exchange it for a recon unit).

We tend to borrow diesels if we know we're doing a lot of miles (and still put the petrol car on the expenses form :) )
-
I get 55p per mile for work use and thought that was crap, no way is 37p a mile enough to cover running costs of a rado.

Supercharger AND turbo AND Nos ... on a valver  Very Very Impressive!

I beat a few 1.3 SR's in my AX 1.1i (got given it as a first car), they're surprisingly fast!

Isn't that where VAGCOM plugs in?
-
Cheers gradeAfailure ... that would explain the iow, looks like they'll be continuing to gather dust then.

Wherabouts are you iow_corrado_g60? I've got a set in my garage that are in fairly good nick you can have very cheap, they all have different tyres on but all are legal afaik. Pick-up only though (Exeter area).
-
It's unlikely you'll get real AMG rims in 4 stud fitment, as far as I'm aware Mercs have always been 5 stud. You should be able to get adaptors though. They won't be cheap either, 18" AMG splits are at least £500 each brand new (without tyres).

 Too right! Gonna say the tw@t in the middle lane

Whoa that's a great find Campaign, I'm going into town at lunchtime to buy it :)

Fraid not, has to be a fixed bar these days.

Cool, there was one of those on Gumball 3000 last night with a Porsche 911 engine in it! They got clocked by the rozzers doing over 100mph but got let off because the police couldn't believe an old camper could go that fast. 8) Broke down 5 times on the first day though :(

Think that law came into force last year, I reckon you could get away with using a rope as long as it's not being towed very far, or on the motorway. If the feds do stop you, do what Walesy said ... plead ignorance.

What would you do to your C if you won the euromillions?

Another £20m!!! That would mean you could afford to run two rado's 8) -
Did you find it Blair? Really would like to see it if you have!

yeah, one for every day of the week! :) changed my mind about the 2.7 bi-turbo conversion ... not enough power ... if it's gonna be rear mounted might as well have the 4.2 V8 from the S8 ... or the 6.0 V12 from the A8 quattro  -
BiggerBigBen selling his anti theft device for the corrado

it was a BIG surface to air missile (bout 3m or so long) -
Second one every time

Been daydreaming at work today and started thinking about what I'd to the rado in the highly unlikely event I won the £105m (must remember to get a ticket!) First I'd have it stripped down to the shell, have a bare metal respray, then get the 2.7 30v bi-turbo conversion done (probably stick it in the back for some RWD action), fit brand new uprated everything, then have it sent over to West Coast Customs for the interior to be completely redone ... something tasteful though, not like some of the wild pimp my ride stuff they do. Obviously I'd have a load of other cars as well ... F40, GT40, RS6 or Brabus Merc (for carrying passengers), Shelby Cobra, Ford RS200, and a new golf GTi for anonymous travel. So what would you do?

Everyone on here recommends the stealer's PAS fluid because the standard pink stuff tends to kill the pump.
