saw one of these in the flesh the other day, they look pretty good for what they are.

i've got the choice of breaking 2 at the moment which only have mechanical stuff wrong with them.. is a difficult decision as they might just make their money back if they were fixed. still i suppose thats better than my main one which wouldn't make its money back ever
-
pretty damn good pictures them!

I mentioned it to him this morning actually, he's still toying with climatronic so wasn't sure. ed, aiming to give you a call back tomorrow, cheers John

I think the job is well underway now, the man has made his decision and is hopefully about to be a lot less poor and stressed. :salute: -
yeah Danny, before I modded mine it was around £430 with Adrian Flux - that was when i was 31, under 5k a year, 10 years NCB (no difference after 5 i dont think) and with 3 points. £300 is very good though! Cheers John

Dropped mine off yesterday to be (i believe) the first forum customer of DG Autotech (aka Crazydave and Nemesis360)! Nothing groundbreaking being done, although i seem to be in a bit of a strange mood at the moment so watch this space.. For the moment it is general servicing, fixing the Schrick vacuum, fitting a Mocal and maybe some shiny fan brackets :)

StueyBs '95 VR6: Thread resurrection circa 2011...
dukest replied to StueyB's topic in Members Gallery
hadn't really thought about using a members thread as a way of keeping track of things yourself, seems obvious now  but anyway, lots of effort clearly gone into getting it to/keeping where it is now, good stuff! :salute: -
well trained parents :thumbleft:

not a blown engine then ;) sounds like changing the oil would be an idea though!

fair do's, no-one meant anything personal i'm sure and of course no-one knows about any of the circumstances. fair play for posting and holding your hands up and not going on a rant like i guess lots of people were probably waiting for!

while eating lunch at work  that is all.

spare blocks cant be that expensive and if you're doing a high spec rebuild then do you really want to risk it going bang by using one that is obviously suffering at the moment?!
-
just in case you sell them and i decide i can't live without them!!
-
cheers pete, if only i had the money, but then it might be obvious by now that i cant resist a bargain :)
-
i haven't yet mentioned it to Karl yet but i will be reserving first refusal on the interior ;)

yeah i noticed that cheeky post on club gti about the gearbox kit :) and 301s too? very nice! everything else looking very good too, the car is going to be a bad influence on me... -
and if all that seems too much then i might well take the vr6 and gearbox off you....
-
yeah, i'm not planning to fully break it unless strictly necessary - have another temporary interior lined up and if things stay ok with work then it will be getting converted, possibly with a more modern engine. maybe a project for DG Autotech ;)

i shouldn't drive it too much more, they were growing on me even more on the way home... :?
