yes, don't get me wrong, probably the least appealing AM ever, even if it still had a decent interior!

parked in an ncp type place near queensway a month or two ago and saw a couple of things that i thought were worth a picture.. a brace of ferraris (note cheesy numberplate on the black one!) AND the very rare Aston Martin Lagonda, but..... look closely at the tasteful retrim, just hideous & looking a lot like vinyl, not even leather!!

looks very cool..!

looking good! so plans for the rest of the body? something for the rear arches? or is it a case of we'll see it when you guys are ready?! :)

vwdeviant, definitely agree that you have to be prepared for anyone to find out and publicise anything that you post on the net. Even if he was allowed to (ie. he wasn't now banned..) i don't suppose he'll be posting on many forums in the future... Basically what I'm saying is I'm just surprised how much anyone bothered reacting to it and then, why the bbc thought it was worth time and money to report something so un-newsworthy.. At least racism on big brother was a serious issue for society, just dont think this is/was..

exactly my point, what a completely unnecessary escalation of things. if you had not heard any of the build up and then you saw that news story on tv you would be wondering what was actually the news element to it? there was an accident and no-one was hurt and some people in the local area are aware of it - yawn...

so riley, these new wheels you're keeping us in suspense about, tractor wheels are they?!

and everyone says big brother was blown out of proportion.... if you leave aside the guys character and compare what actually happened i would place serious money on the fact more than 90% of anyone that has ever posted on a car forum has been near enough to 70 on an empty straight road in the country with a 40 limit. the point i'm making is that, yes he got pissed off and over reacted with people who criticised but thats probably because they were almost guaranteed to be hypocrites (ie. having driven a bit fast themselves on occasion). the seatbelt issue is his personal choice, it affects no-one but him. the insurance issue is a little dubious but ultimately no-one has all the facts but him and i'm inclined to give anyone the benefit of the doubt when i don't know the full story. in saying all this, i don't dispute anyone on here, or anywhere else, who have met him and who know's he's a c**k, and i'm inclined to agree based on the other topics he's posted about. however in terms of a pure bad luck accident, it could have happened to lots of people. we might not have put quite as much detail on a forum about it as he did but how many crash threads have been on here?? as for the police, are they really going to care any more now about it than when they first showed up at the scene and said they couldn't care less cos no-one was hurt? they are just saying they're investigating now because they'd get slammed by the "concerned public" if they didn't. he'll be questioned and given a stern verbal warning for show and that will be the end of it.. just think its been a lot of hype over not very much IMO...

tend to swear a lot when i'm on my own in the car but try to hold back when i have any passengers! it did catch me out though when i first got a motorbike and i was sat at the lights with some f****r not going on green or sat in a yellow box or something. having uttered a few choice words the drivers of at least 2 or 3 cars turned to stare at me.. turns out your not quite so soundproofed with just a helmet on!! :D

nice whistling! :D

went through blackwall the other weekend, i know its not up to tvr standards but the noise of the vr accelerating with the windows down was quality! :D
-
really sorry about that fella, hope you can get it sorted with not too much grief. don't know how long you've been in your area but i think its always worth mentioning stuff like that to people you see on your street - surprising how much people will say about little ****ers that they know are destroying the area when they're sick of it themselves...

How many C owners plan to have a Porsche one day?
dukest replied to Phil K's topic in General Car Chat
if it couldn't be a turbo from the 80s (yes, or the 90s :) ) then i always looked out for 928 GTs when i was younger. rare, manual and huge engines! both are pipe dreams though... -
agree - definitely money to be made by someone..

gotta start somewhere!

hello mate, I've still got the 106 XS I had for 7 years before I bought the C. I can't quite bring myself to sell it as it's still a lot of fun in London and takes the speed bumps and potholes alot better the Corrado! Trying to decide what to do with it myself, was thinking of a move towards a rally spec or at least just some general tweeks to smarten it up. The 1.6 engine it's already got is probably enough once it's had a few bits but i'm sure sticking a GTi engine into yours will be a lot of fun - get you ready for the G60! Not sure i'll strip it out as much as you but how much difference have you noticed after taking everything out?

Hi all, Am trying to decide on a decent quality head unit thats not too flashy for the corrado's typical german, no-nonsense interior. I wanted to go for an alpine even though they're not that old-school looking but: a) i want it to blend in as much as possible (ie. not silver) and b) i think blue illumination has got to be best in a blue car..?? So can you get an Alpine that fits the bill? NO! you only get blue illumination with silver units, all the black ones have green or red or some nasty mixture.. So the question is do i go for something like the Alpine 9856 with green display as the closest match: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4655.html Or do i try another make like Pioneer which will also allow me to have more functionality (bluetooth & dab add-ons etc) like this one perhaps?: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4624.html does anybody have a recent model pioneer that they can comment on the quality of? thoughts? or am i just being too picky?!! :) cheers John
