i've placed my order with Tyretraders as they were the best price and listed them in 15s but Simply Tyres do them as well and BlackCircles offer them in 17s afaik. dont think you can get them in a 16 from what i've seen..

I'm sure i read this when you originally posted it John, but i obviously didn't pay enough attention as i got a windscreen chip leaving Brands behind you whenever we were all down there. :grin: but anyway, i just found some 888s for a good price and so i'm going to give them a try now its "summer", looking forward to it :D

not sure what tyres you get on them, but these guys are cheaper than that with basic tyres on. for 17s light is 7kg, heavy is 11kg

to be fair though Andy, 95% of people run 7.5in 17s on 205 rubber so 7in 16s on 205 isn't that bad and gives you a bit more comfort than the 40 profile..? -
sorry you had so much grief with it Karl.. I thought it was another garage you'd had issues with and thats what had held stealth up but as you say maybe best not to dwell on it.. whatever happened, it was a shame not to get there after being so close but also i'm sure it will be fun to crack on with the turbo and hopefully have it running again soon enough..?

looks like you'd have massive space issues at the front of a corrado VR, they've chopped enough of that golfs slam panel let alone the smaller area available on the corrado!

haha, how dead set were you on the 12v a month ago leon? :grin: glad that you are asking all these interesting questions from a position of knowledge though, makes me slightly more comfortable about not having to hand it over to someone to to all of (assuming i was giving it any thought that is..!). from what i discovered, cams for 24v engines are hideously expensive and not really necessary judging by the grins on peoples faces getting out of Pete's car on saturday! standard rear discs are never going to look cool as they're too small :grin: the rears will never do enough work to need drills or grooves but i would try to match the style with what ever you have on the front for looks. standard vag discs would be fine i think though. what pads do you have at the front? oh, and do you want this bumper? ;)

yeah, was reading Andy665s thread last night about how he spaced out his Pro Race 2s which are ET35 on 7J because he thought they tucked in a bit too much as well. tricky one but Mark is right about the extra you get with the lower offset and extra half inch.. :scratch:

what will happen to the scrapped cars? i hope they're not all going to be crushed? will they go to official scrappy's to be broken or something? there must be an opportunity for more merchants to set up now??
