  1. ordered some bolts off him and they came within a few days- service was excellent.
  2. This was my last corrado, hada leather rear bench and door cards and fitted carbon fibre / leather porsche gt 3 replica seats in the front. Been some cars with nice interiors on here over the years.
  3. Could be in the market for a tailgate, have a few questions but will wait until you hear back off your contact.
  4. Badger 5 sells the ones for the brembo calipers, I think they're about 50 quid per pair. As for the rears I'm not too sure where you would get them separately
  5. I'm building a battleship grey big turbo 20v at the moment which appeals to me but I think my ultimate would be 4wd with some sort of turbo six pot or perhaps a twin engined 20v might be a laugh.
  6. Not sure on the answer to your question, but another option is to get the immobiliser coded out of the ECU which does away with the need to use the clocks etc from the donor car.
  7. Hi swampy, I'd be interested in two pairs of the hex bolts. Cheers
  8. Just seen this thread again. That price is a bargain. Ill take one

    3 inch exhausts

Cheers guys, appreciate what your saying, car will hopefully be in the region of 380 to 400 bhp with perhaps room for a touch more, engine is a 20vt. I believe 3 inch would be the way to go from what I've read etc.
  10. Anybody run a 3 inch exhaust? I'm after buying one if I can get an off the shelf one, I know there aren't many available. Reason I want to buy one is I've painted all the underside of my car and its currently upside down on a spit, so if I can get one ill fit it while my car is like this then I would much prefer it as I can take my time fitting it rather than some custom place clattering about underneath it. I've seen this one http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com/servlet/the-762/SS-Corrado-3%22-Bolt-dsh-on/Detail But I believe the stainless isn't as good a quality as t304 that the jetex's etc are made of. I know you can buy the jetex parts to build your own, but I'm sure that could be a steep learning curve lol Thanks
  11. I would be interested to price dependant - I say price dependant as I'm not sure how much the last batch cost.
  12. I read on here a lot more than I post, however I think this forum is a nice place to be where forums are concerned and it is full of genuine, helpful members

    Topmounts

Hi guys. Trying to buy some topmounts for my corrado. It's running the vr6 type. Tried to buy some from vw and they say only the rear uppers are available from them now. I know there are cheaper versions available but as I understand it they don't last long at all so I would rather not fit them and would prefer to put some decent quality ones on. Does anybody know of any decent ones that are available? Even considering some compbrake uprated ones for the front to which should last for quite a while. I know it's been the case for a few years now, but at the moment as I'm rebuilding my car there are more and more parts that are becoming unavailable / hard to source. Sometimes even the simplest of parts.
  17. Hi Dave, sorry haven't been able to get on for the past couple of days. I would like kit A,C and D please. Could you pm me your email address so I can pay pal you please. Thanks Dan
  18. Hi Dave. I will take some of these. Don't worry I don't already have these lol. I would like enough to do the slam panel as well. I don't have my car to hand could you tell me if the wing securing bolts Deffinately do the slam panel or do I have to add on another 4. Just to be clear I would like the full set that includes wing securing screws also. Many thanks Dan.
  19. Cheers wild animal. Your right how much time do they actually put into the sandblasting. To me they'll turn things round as quickly as possible. The subframe is pretty good the wishbones look terrible but I'm getting new ones from vw and the beam is quite bad. My plan is to clean them as much as possible with a wire wheel on an angle grinder. Then get them blasted then I think I'm going to give the epoxy mastic route a try.
  20. Great stuff thanks. Like I say I'd searched a lot before posting up and it seems like an age old debate. Been reading about something called epoxy mastic which seems quite good if you. Slice some of the hype, but then again I bought into the reviews of por15 and ended up disappointed. For anyone interested here's a link to a brand of epoxy mastic http://www.rust.co.uk/epoxy-mastic.cfm
  21. Cheers, it's good to hear both sides for and against. I've had stuff powder coated before but the parts weren't exposed the way the subframe and rear beam are.
  22. Cheers mate, I'll give the coaters a ring and see what they say. Got some prep work to do 1st. I would prefer to have them powder coated. Just hope the powder coating company I choose is a good one lol.
  23. Cheers matt, I've read mixed reviews. From what I can make out powder coat is harder but if it gets water underneath it it rusts it without it showing up where as if it's painted it would bubble the paint up. It's also like you say only as good as the prep and processes when its applied. Also I reckon by painting it it would be easier to repair also in the even of any damage. Minefield lol
  24. Hey everyone. I'm sure this has been asked numerous times before, I've looked on the net etc but can't draw my own conclusion. In wanting to coat my subframes, rear beam etc. I have read mixed reviews of powdercoating on the net and read that some people seem to be happy with chassis components being powder coated and others say it doesn't last very well and once it's damaged it tends to rot the components from the inside out. The other alternative would be for me to etc prime, smooth stone chip and then paint with 2 k paint. I just want it to be as durable as it can be. I do have a full tin of por15 chassis black there but I have had problems with por15 paint in the past so I am reluctant to use it. I know quite a few people have had their things powdercoated so can I ask, have they lasted well or if you were to do it again would you do it differently? Cheers
