Just stripped mine and its gone in exactly the same place. Went to tps to buy some more and they were made obsolete in February this year.

Hey everyone, I've just recently purchased a por 15 kit. I've got the metal ready the rust prevention paint and chassis cote to go over the top. I've seen their how to guide and looked on here and seen quite a few people recommend it. Tbh the floor is.good on my car on quick inspection its only the places where its been jacked up that the undersea has come off. There is a small amount starting to come through on the filler cap but a tiny amount . The beam and tank are coming out anyway so I will inspect this. I was just wondering what has worked best for people. I was just gonna grind back the individual rust patches on the floor and treat them with metal ready and rust prevention paint and then cover the full floor in chassis cote followed by some black stone chip. The rust just appears to be surface. I'm really just trying to protect it for years to come without going to the extent of removing all the underseal off the car. What are peoples experiences of this and the por15 Cheers.

Just enquired about a new fixed column from vw and the part number on the 1st page has been superseded by this number 535419503h. That's for the inner column. Can anyone shed any light on this?cheers

I would take a rhd one. Undecided on fiberglass or carbon though. Also interested in the scuttle covers. -
Ahh greatstuff, thanks. Another thing on the to do list.

That's interesting I might have to look into that are the wiring moss fairly easy then?
-
Hmm I will look into that chaps. Is there anyway of telling that its not working in terms of it passing an not? Small wiring mode could get round the issue of the light being on?
-
Ah right I didn't know that, its a 95 car so about as late as they get really . Better look into that then before I do it. I just thought that if it was there it had to work but if its not there then all is good

What are peoples views on this. I've read the threads previously on this but I am unsure. There is certainly a problem with mine as the abs light was on before I started to strip it. Also with some of the parts becoming obsolete and the car being a keeper is it a good idea to remove it whilst I am overhauling the car. I'm not sure if its a good idea or not though . Has anyone done it and did they find it beneficial ?

Cool, can't wait to get it on the road.

Thanks mate, like I say my memories a bit fuzzy so could well just be the same as what I have. Mine certainly has a thin one and a chunky one. I won't be running slicks on it I have a ctn gearbox which I will be having a diff fitted to it.

I'm doing a few upgrades on my 20v Corrado. It's having the engine uprated a bit and it should hopefully be in the 350 - 400 bhp region. The base car was a 2 litre 16v. I seem to remember on my old g60 that the drive shafts were quite chunky where as the ones on this car don't look as robust. Am I just imagining it or are there differences in the drive shafts.

Probably a garret gt2871 or if my funds stretch an fp2868hta
-
Ah right I'm sure it'll be fine. Just put some oil in and turn it over by hand. I'm uprating the engine internals and going for a bigger turbo. Don't go to t park anymore used to in my old g60 but not really my thing now . I do try and get to a few meets but get funny looks sometimes going in my type r as the Rado is in bits. If you look on a site called Vag cars theres details of local v dub meets on there mate.

No worries mate, nice to see another Corrado in the area. I'm from skeleton which is near saltburn but work in billingham. Mines off the road undergoing a bit of a rebuild at the moment. You already got an engine sorted etc? Which flavour you going for?

Forgive me if I should have posted this in the dedicated thread. Are koni Coilovers still good? My last Corrado had them on and they were brilliant but I've spoke to a few people who say koni have lost there way a bit. Looking to spend around a thousand not sure if I should but could stretch to some kw v3s but will they offer much over koni 's etc. Been looking and the ones I've come up with are gaz golds, koni, kws, and I've seen some bilstein b16s. Both koni and bilstein have a lifetime grantee so long as I own the car. Car is going to be a 300bhp + road car that will see some track use. I keep second guessing myself about which ones to go for.

Hi mate, I have a q peng Ecu for a 20vt. It is the one that runs the self amplified coil packs. I had this on my Corrado running a aum code golf gti engine. Don't have the loom though as I am re using it as I am going to use a dta Ecu now. Q peng can convert a loom for you though. Don't live far from middlesbrough either so quite local to you.

sounds like a bargain. seems cheap though ?

Thanks andy i will give that a try. Unfortunately the weathers too bad here today to do anything as the car is currently on the drive not in the garage.

Could anyone tell me how to bypass the ignition switch as in what colours are used for what. My switch packed in today and i was just starting to get somewhere with getting it running again. Im 99.9 % sure it is the switch. So if i could bypass it tomorrow just so i can crack on and get some more work done till i can buy one on monday. I have tried searching, every time i click on a link etc it just redirects me back to the main forum page. Thanks

Welcome mate. I'm in a similar area. I live near saltburn but work in billingham.
