All fixed now. Was indeed the 13 nut on top of the gear box that had worked loose. Couldn't see it the first time I looked but all became clear with the info from here. Thanks for your help guys :-) Kip -
Not good news matey but hang in there am sure it'll all come good for a superb project, i very nearly bought a campaign too a few years back but just couldn't stretch to it at the time. It goes without saying that if i ever see this in the flesh i will be utterly jealous :luvlove: Keep the faith as i know it'll be there soon. :salute:

Well didb't really get the chance to look as busy prepping the VR for stanford hall but very strange thing that i took it for a quick spin round the block and it sometimes works perfectly normal and sometimes as if 1st gear is actually 3rd :cuckoo: Wierd -

Thanks for the reply's boys. I'll have a look tonight. I did look at your gallery jim but couldn't see if mine was the same. Hopefully an easy fix as it just happened instantly rather than over a period of time. Thanks will keep ya posted. -

Had a look and both of these seem intact so a bit confused :brickwall: maybe its a little adjustment on the 13mm bolt on the gear shifter that needs a tweek? Ho Hum. -

Just looked at the linkage above the gearbox and that all looks ok so i'll have a look at the gear surround now too! Thanks! :salute: -
Having trouble selecting first and reverse on the 8v. anyone have any ideas? have checked the brake fluid reservoir and that all ok so was thinking one of the master or slave cylinders but though the pedal hit the floor if that went  Thanks! Kip

Thats only for the bits blasting & finishing though Not fitting as well  that was a lil bit more :pale:
-
Are you ready?????? Cost of a rear beam to be blasted then nylon coated £40 Cost of front subframe with 3 petrol tank straps £40 I think its a ridiculous bargain if ever i saw one
-
Very much so, when Judes rear beam was done and taken to DG Autotech for fitting Graham had to use an angle grinder to cleah up the stub axle mating surfaces as it is so damn tough. :brickwall: A bit glossier too but am sure it'll calm down with age
-
Nope but i was there and yes we did have well over 100 Corrado's there. The event was arranged I think by John Munyard & James Shillaw who is on the banner with pale blue shirt & video camera
-
Thought you were the one in trousers Kev

 Sorry Kris, hope yours is getting back to full health too and i have to say me & jude were quite jelous about the silver VR you took bits off :norty: Good call there mate.
-
Well a very busy day not doing much other than fitting the petrol tank straps which have been refurbed along with the original bolts which have been zinc plated as they were before they went manky. A few more jobs to do before Stanford Hall super class :brickwall: Quite pleased with the results if i'm honest and Bruney has a lot to answer for
