Well thats some statement Karl and there is no doubt it is most certainly up there with that possible title. Spoke to him last year at VW Festival at harewood house and he still has it and is still tucked away in storage and hopes to reapear when time allows! It'll sure cause a stir once it does :salute:  Come on Lee lets have it out again
-
 you know it makes sense! but yeah i know exactly what you mean.

Not harsh mate just reality. Sadly people do get killed with this kinda thing but if I was there I wouldn't be anywhere near the roadside i'd be on top of a hill somewhere but then I wouldn't be there anyways as this thing aint my bag. You really have to question why you want to stand next to the road to get a better view of some one driving out of control at high speed. Bit bloody daft really.
-
serves them bloody right if you ask me! if ya cant do it dont do it at all! :nono:
-
Ah ok! Good luck if you enter saturday then and hope to see you with it later in the year? Harewood Maybe or Tatton.
-
they are about £45 new aren't they? i reckon £25 for a mint one is a fair price.
-
Ha Ha love the headlight loom joke! Nope the leads stay but the dampers are here waiting for a winter overhaul if funds allow :brickwall:
-
Yeah I haven't washed it myself yet buddy so much to do :pale:  what would you polish lights up with then??
-
PMSL Not a chance mate! the only reason I dared never to have a G60 is I wouldn't be able to sleep thinking it's going to break  I know it sounds negative but thats me i guess Lol! Wanted one years ago but just never took the plunge, completely love the sound though! Awsome. Jude says she has enough

Ha Ha the Neighbours are great really, couldn't ask for a better bunch to be honest and theres plenty of room on the street plus its fairly quiet being a cul de sac. Cant wait to get stuck into fettling it too but gotta work my day off tomorrow as someones off i'll Grrrr :bad-words: then gotta sort the VR for BVF this wk end if it passes the MOT tomorrow. Will have to take the Nugget then if it doesn't Lol!

A few pics on first day of ownership 8)

Five 3 for me 2for Jude :cuckoo:  i know but i wanted one for years so couldn't not but it, intention was to get one for a daily but with only 60k on the clock its just too damn good so gonna keep the 8v for now and see how i cope
-
Well picked up the Nugget last night and all went good on the drive home 8) there are a few issues to deal with most notably the MFA seemed to stop working for 20 miles then started counting again  , most features worked throughout though except movement related ones IE, MPG, Distance & Ave Speed is this something anyone has come across before???? Also the bit of the dash that i thought had been cut into was a stuck on patch which came off easy but reveald some screw holes where a phone had been. At least i may be able to get it repaired by one of these cosmetic trim repair companies so not too gutted about that. The leather although could do with a clean feels really tight and new too  Will get some pics up this eve 8) off to work now

Looks great! be nice to see it at bvf if you are there on sunday 8)
-
Yeah looking forward to seeing the new wheels too B-)
-
Ah I stand corrected then lol. Cheers i'll remember that. As jim says though is it worth the hassle as you'd surely be taxing it if you are having it tested. Silly rule if you ask me. :-D
-
You can drive to an MOT Test station if you are pre booked but you must always have a vehicle licence disc if you are driving on the open highway.
-
I may do a daily driver show shine type but will NEVER EVER take another Corrado to concours level, someone please shoot me at the very suggestion
-
I think they know that already mate :cuckoo: Not sure what to do Jim at the moment but i know the Nugget is a bit too good for a daily so may well keep the 8v too and just use the nugget for fun. I dont think i'd get much for the 8v anyway and done a fair bit to it inc new suspension and brakes and about to fit some goodridge hoses too so may well keep improving that too but it is fairly reliable and the economy is awsome on a decent run. Best thing is though the Nugget is only £144 to insure on a classic policy with no no claims discount as they dont use them for classic policies (cars over 20 years old) so well chuffed with that

Yes they have central locking as standard. When it works that is. Lol
-
Good result there Jon, bet you feel relived with them finding that! all good in the end though.
