A few harsh words there fella! I think folk were only trying to help you out but your firs post was a bit all over the place and i had to read it a couple of times to understand it :? Anyway glad you got it sorted but i have to dissagree with you about the forum being useless. Its a great site and has been an absolute life saver to me & my lady we have 4 by the way, so stick around and you'll soon get to know a few folk

Butterfly says... Sorry can't help with the suppliers bit but I feel for you and fully understand what you mean by having to get it to a body shop for painting once the screen is out. I have been there, done that last year. Thought I might have a problem once the screen was out and got a VERY nasty shock. Phoned round for a flat bed pick up at short notice and again after the painting was done. Had a bit of a nightmare with the return journey as with days of notice having pre-booked a flat bed pick up 'they' arrived with the 'hook your wheels over and drag you down the road' type. Had a bit of a stand off discussion about whether that was suitable and they eventually went off to get what I had booked. Job was finished and all looks beautiful now. Fingers crossed. Oh and removal and fitting was with RAC in Sheffield but any depot is only as good as the particular staff they employ.

Butterfly says... Honestly ??..... Where the paint isn't so thick after years of wear & cleaning, I masked up the suspension, brakes, axle, exterior body then sprayed with touch up paint to get a good deep colour. And to really finish it off a few coats of laquer. Very very easy to keep clean then and looks great... but don't tell anyone else of my secret :ignore: 'cause most people will think I'm :cuckoo:

You sure its not one of the relays then near the fuse box? I dont know myself but i'm sure there is one somewhere so hopefullly someone will confirm. You plugged it in didnt you???? daft question but i forgot when i looked

I think it could be that one of the air lines has either detached itself or you have a leak somewhere, can you hear it when you press the button on the remote? Might be door cards off to see what you can see but get some polythene and some evo stick wet grip adhesive first as you need to see behind the membranes :brickwall:

How did you get on with this Jim? just been thinking or swithchin over a couple of my speakers as one of the rear ones in the 8v doesn't work!
-
Yep what he says  also when i took mine to VW a few years back they had thrown them away as they no longer use them :brickwall: So took it to a local tyre fitters and he then used a thin bladed screwdriver to remove the thin bezzel that spins around the head of the bolt which took seconds to do then after that he just whacked a socket which was smaller than the bolt head onto it and it made the round bit turn into a bolt then off it came :) Enjoy! and throw the F'in things in the bit they are evil! :bad-words: dont use them anymore on my VR but use Mcguard ones on the 8v.

Why do some of the Corrado door handles not have wires on them too? would they still work ok if you have remote central locking? Sorry for the hijack but its kinda related :?

Do make the effort to pull off the petrol filler cap rubber surround though mate as theres always lots in there. Remove the cap, then stuff a wrag into the pipe to stop dirt getting it while you remove the rubber, then carefully remove the wrag and replace the cap then get cleaning :D I even used anold stick to poke all the dirt out as it gets very compressed over time so this with a good hosing should do the trick :salute:

Awsome Dave, its looking staggeringly good. how was cyprus by the way?

Did you try the stuff from screwfix Kris? Just wanted to know if kit was any good as gotta do one of mine on the 8v soon. :?
-
 wow thats gonna be bright! :shades: will certainly see you coming anyway!
-
I agree Walesy, you dont have to buy from him if you dont want to. And if you ask me he's doing us a favour and giving the Corrado a little more prestige which is more that can be said for anyone else who deals in them. I'd certainly go and look at his collection if i was after a new one.

 Gotta make a living i guess!

There are a few out there i guess, i know of 2 with less than 35000 miles :cuckoo: and there does seem to be a lot of history mentioned with some of them inc old mot's etc which is a good as it gets if its all genuine :? like skinny says he's a specialist dealer and has his details with most other dealers around who call him if they get one in for a trade in.

Tom's Nugget Vr6! swap my inpros with headlights?
KIPVW replied to tombell999's topic in Members Gallery
Good work there mate, nice to see a Nugget brought back to life! I'd love one but just cant run to another at the mo :( Just a small thing though! I personally like the rubbing strips on the sides with this colour as it breaks it up a bit but each to their own eh!! Keep up the good work :salute: -
Get on ebay for sensors, bought 2 a month or so ago for £24 delivered and they worked fine.
