Wow! What a comeback! CCGB Subs now due by the way
-
Nice one Dave, see you at trowell
-
Yeah but very easy to change that for a leather one at around £15 from dealers :D
-
As said above really, leather was an option on both the steering wheel & gear knob, so non leather options came with the wheel you have in your pic and a plasticy type gear knod too! We have one of each in our 8v collection
-
Looks great Dave! a huge credit to you for doing all this work yourself, it'd give me nightmares (is giving me nightmares) Cant wait to see it all completed :notworthy:
-
 Thats a strike Munyard! but in all fairness Adz i'm sure Corozin wouldn't mind as its a completely different baby to what it was then.

I have this magazine so i'll take a look and try and post up some pics. I think the article is a great read and is kind of a homage to the VR6 and basically concludes by saying that they wont be available much longer so go and buy a piece of motoring history  or something like that.

Guessing it has to be the heatermatrix mate and it must have dropped quite a bit out of the system for the rear carpet to be wet! its the only thing i think it could be  unless anyone else has suggestions????

Tell me you are kidding??? it'd look terrible even if it did fit :epicfail:
-
So I've just found an acoustic shelf in my parents loft from years ago and i know the 6x9's in it are no good but is it best to fit this and replace the 6x9's with a new pair or replace the standard 6x4's on the support shelves????? I also have some pioneers that look like they'll fit the door pods so will this improve things too???? And lastly is it really worth doing anything with the ones on top of the dash?? Thanks Guys
-
Well just to give an update on this one, it was indeed the pump inside the door and after getting a couple from off the CF i fitted one and it is now working perfectly  Just gotta sort out the membrane now and re-fix the door card, got some of the proper VW adhesive to do it too  so hope it does the trick. Thanks to everyone who helped out including ShaunG60 & Besian for the parts :salute:

Oh Dear Jim, Not good but it did make me chuckle a bit mate! been here done it sort of thing

Looks bad to me mate so be very carefull with a grinder or you'll just rip it all out then have nowhere to screw it to :| did my 8v last year and looks miles better for it too. Drop me a pm if you want cost and who did it
-
You're not kidding mate Lol  and i'd be very pleased for Dave if he managed the recognition from the judges this year! as i know how much time, money and effort has gone into this car. Good luck matey :salute:
-
Great news Dave, I have a routine for setting up the ECU properly if you want it, helps to set it up just right  It looks so much better underneath too now with all the sealant removed, stanford could be VERY interesting
-
It looks like he's talking about the seal around the door where it meets the sill at the bottom of the door, check where the 2 meet on yours with paper too! the plastic innes sill cover should be sat nice and flush too. HTH. Kip.
