  1. Cheers Swompy. My mats have stuck on letters? :( may have to pay a visit to VW for the embroided ones.
  2. Yeah but is 'Corrado' embroided or stuck on stickers?
  3. The needle gauge is the water and the MFA is the oil. When dbug says watch the gauge to see if it hits 100.. i think he means the water gauge rather then the oil gauge.
  4. Is there no other dealer you could try? Also can i ask those of you who got their mats from the dealers. Was the 'Corrado' lettering embroided or stuck on letters?

    POTHOLES!

Not sure no.3 is necessary. I managed to claim with out a witness but it wont hurt.
  6. Im sure i paid about £50 from the dealers, well through my garage. So £57.99 aint that bad.
  7. Nath, i'll take a couple of Dice keyrings please. Both in crystal red . Cheers! Gaz
  8. The part of the reflectors you paint is sat in front of the bulb anyway so heat def shouldnt be a problem.
  9. No worries. Could tip some hot water over the calipers and then take it for a drive. Infact my problem was more water had go into the tubes the handbrake cables run through under the car and frozen the cables in place. It could also be that. Either way it should release itself. Once released, i had to engage and disengage the handbrake a few times to get it to re-adjust.
  10. I just used some satin black hammerite from halfords and a angled brush. Was easy and didnt take long at all.
  11. Hi Lydnsey, I gather when the bad smell and burning occurred you were driving down the road? It sounds like they're siezed on (pads held against the discs) - happened to me when we had the snow. Does the handbrake feel loose? But if they're still siezed on despite the weather warming up a tad you may need them stripping and putting back together. Not sure about the battery part cos the rear breaks have nothing to do electrically.
  12. Here you go - http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... &start=255
  13. Cheers. It didnt say anything about the rad switch on the first post just how to test it  Anyway to test the fan control unit? Thanks again. :D
  14. Anyone shed some light on this for me?
  15. Have they spat their dummys out - if only PH members cant just attend, no one can attend.
  16. Yeah you could sit there wondering if they're going to turn up at your house one day
  17. Can i be a pain and ask another question? Can you tell me what the difference between the fan control switch in the radiator and the yellow temp sender that controls the fans? Why are there 2 sensors that control the fans. I unplugged the switch in the radiator today to see if the fans still came on and they did.
  18. i'd really like to say he or SHE will get in touch, but i fear there's a greater chance of the letter being ignored :(
  19. Yup still available.... need to talk to Pat McCrotch, he'll sort you out a pair... of blades and arms.
  20. I asked this question also - http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... rm#p985858 Apologies if its the same as the one on ebay Walesy has posted - cant see ebay at work.
  21. Indeed, but you can get OBD port software monitoring for the iphone / touch though :D - http://www.plxkiwi.com/kiwiwifi/software.html Yes that's normal. If you turn the car off and the water temp is around 90 degrees, the fans will stay on. If the water is colder, they won't! :D I really have no idea why the VR6 coolant system causes so much confusion and panic!! All the info you need is in this thread :D Ah but sometimes they come on for say 5 seconds then go off and come back on again  The VR cooling system has always confused me
  22. No, I believe the after run fan is picked up off another sensor. Either Yellow, or Black. I thought this, just changed the yellow one (which is now black) to fix the gauge reading. The fan never used to come on before changing this, now it will come on each time the ignition is switched off, though it seems only once the car is up to temp. So if that controls the after run fans, then what does the radiator switch do?
  23. 'Carpets havent turned up too bad' - understatement. They are a 100% better then they were before you washed them. Come out really well. :D
