I like how you've put it on a bracket behind the battery. My laying behind the passenger headlight at the mo and it kept getting water in it. In the end i had to wrap it in a small plastic bag with some electrical tape to protect it

 I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed that! I'm feeling more and more outnumbered as the years go by as well. Its like a rain cloud looming over your head. Its not that youre out numbered, just that the other G60 owners have come to accept..... sorry sorry lets not go there  Sorry guy, you can have your post back.

Hmmm not sure about the shocks either.

I ended up getting model - EXH011 and cut it to size - £7.50 posted. Got it off ebay actually in the end. But i've found places sell them all at the same price EXH001-012. Halfords do sell them, but when i went down they only had like 4 varieties. All these EXH's will make sense if you look at the link. http://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-deta ... /1552.html - EXH011 -
Bargin wheels mate :D They in good nick? They look in good nick from the pics. Any scuffs/kerbing? Are they shorter shocks?

:( ^^ Fitted a powerflex exhaust hanger because the back box kept banging on the bumper. Now the back box pipe knocks on the rear axle - another powerflex hanger needed. For anyone thinking of getting these. They hold the exhaust alot better then the oem rubbers - alot firmer held in place. -
Nice one mate, they do suit it. JUST GET IT LOWERED NOW! Any ideas what you want - springs/shocks or coilovers?

Tesco was 104.9 last time I filled up. Some info on Tesco stuff: http://www.greenergy.com/tesco_99_octane/index.html Cheers matey! :D

 Sonicriot, do you ever feel that the VR vs G60 argument seems to follow you around the forum

Which engine, R32?

Operation weight save - lets all have a crack at it!

Aye i could do with losing a stone. What about ICE? lose the stereo speakers, any subs or amps. Depends how much you like your music whilst you drive. I suppose if it was a G60 you'd need something to drown the droning noise out, but you have your own music under the bonnet with a VR - just to stir it -
Yeah im with sonic, i tend to avoid supermarket fuel, but not just because the dodgy batches they've had but i do notice the car seems to run better on the V-power but also for better mileage. Though i found Tesco fuel was worse the Sainsburys. Saying all that, id be willing to give the Tesco 99ron a try... maybe. How much is the Tesco 99ron per litre compared to the V-Power. Last time i filled up (week last sat) it was at 109.9 :(

Voo that looks stunning, really really like it! :luvlove: What back box did you get fitted? Looks close to the bumper like my oval supersprint back box - which bangs over some bumps :(
-
That first shot is fantastic 8) The new rocco makes the mk1 look tiny.
-
So true! I wanted to stick with the VR too, so was willing to spend the 2k on an older designed engine.
-
and i can personally recommend Vege, their service is great and the engine hasnt missed a beat. Now on 8.5k miles and not a problem with any oil/water leaks. Runs sweet as.. :D Though i did pay about £2k for the engine. Some might argue you could get a 1.8 20vt engine for that.
-
I'll echoe that. ^^^ Havent got a bad word to say about the V1s, well worth the £££ :D

Anyone used one of these? *6 branch manifold*
Critical_Mass replied to MonkeyVR6's topic in Engine Bay
Yeah got to agree with that... i have a BMC, 6 branch with a supersprint CAT back exhaust and it does sound great. get a nice popping on overrun and down shift. 8) Whether #1 is true - its just what i've read myself. I'd definately wrap it purely for #2 if for no other reason. -
Has your 'rado been mistaken for anything?
Critical_Mass replied to Stevo-M's topic in General Car Chat
I would have thought it would invalidate the ticket also... Its not hard to look at the badge on the back. -
All i lubed was the top bearing on the fronts.
