Mine does this sometimes but im on the old loom, just the drivers sidelight, goes of after a while but would love to know whats doing this On a previous loom i had i found both headlights on, turned out to be water in the relays. Just a thought, i've heard good things about kurbys looms (after one myself once i have the cash for it) so dont doubt they are high quality.

Nope exactly the same engine to a 'normal' VR. Only difference is they are either mystic blue or classic green with creme or black leather. Colour coded front grille, came with BBS solitudes and as said 'Storm Badges'. They are general more expensive then the 'normal' VR due to there only been 500 of them. 250 Mystic blue, 250 Classic green.

Sorry to hear this bud, hope you get the car back an they catch the feckers!!!!!! This is why im glad i had a hidden button fitted when i had my alarm/immob installed. So even if they get the keys they cant start the car without pressing this button. Me and the bloke that fitted it are the only 2 who know where it is. Good luck getting it back mate.

Does the metal disc part come seperate to the rubber part? Looks like the mk2 top mount in the link you posted. You're best getting new rubber top mounts, top plates and bearings. Pic attached - top plate (in the engine bay) parts under arch in order top to bottom - top nut Rubber top mount bearing top spring plate (not needed) bellows bump stop

 after all these years... i should have known better (slaps own wrist) Sorry.. .ages like a ripe cheese :D

Only like a fine wine ages (matures) :D

Sorry didnt explain that very well. The doughnut shaped bearing geos on top of the cone then the rubber top mount sits ontop of that.
-
If you mean the spring plate - black metal (possibly rusted) disc which yes looks a little like a hat, this normally sits directly ontop of the old springs, you dont need this. The rubber top mount sits directly on top of the cone. EDIT - looking at that page again. The 10th pic down you will see he's layed out all the bits from the old spring. The disc shaped part on the left is the bit youre talking about right, obviously may look slightly different as thats for a mk2. This isnt needed and who ever did the write up did put it back on, which isnt correct. With the metal cone shaped piece on top of the spring. The rubber top mount with the bearing in it goes ontop of the cone. Put the nut on and fit it all to the car, drop the car and tighten nut a bit. Finally put the plate back on in the engine bay and the last nut. Job done :D

Well said tyler, the prelude looks the most dated imo... well maybe not as dated as the probe but its not far off. 'the corrado is a pretty son of a gun' 8)

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Just fitted the longer wheel bolts i ordered - gives me peace of mind. -
Why dont you get some insurance quotes for a G60 VR and Valver before you commit? You dont have to own the car to get an insurance price, so you cant lose. Give HIC, Adrian Flux and Chris Knott a ring and see what they offer.

CD player stopped working - NOW TROUBLE STARTING CAR! :(
Critical_Mass replied to g60rc's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Good to hear you got it sorted mate. If you're going to buy a ign switch its advised to buy a VAG one, not a cheaper pattern part like from GSF. As you will only end up replacing it again within 6 months - i learnt this myself  -

The ignition wire will go be connected to the back of your stereo and will go to the ignition switch (obv ). I'd pull the stereo back out and check all the wires are connected. -

Critical_Mass replied to g60rc's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Theres 2 wires for power on stereos. One that is 'permenant live' which is for the memory (saves radio stations, time etc) which i guess will also allow power to the eject mechanism of the stereo. The other wire is ignition live which allows you to power up there stereo. It could be that the ignition wire has come loose. Definately seems the case since it only happened when you pulled the stereo out. Worth a look? -
Yeah 28mm are standard. I'll try the longer bolts they're only an extra 7-8mm longer - long enough for piece of mind but dont think they will be too long. As for the the coilovers. I've not had chance to try it out yet. Car shouldnt have been going back on the road until September, but i just couldnt wait that long. So even getting back on the road to only drive it say once a week, once every 2 week that'll keep me happy until i can drive it everyday :D I'll let you know how the KWs are, they get good ratings on here so im confident.

The annoying loose handbrake tunnel cover - a solution!
Critical_Mass replied to daves16v's topic in Interior
Ah right, my mistake. But if thats the tunnel then where is the part of it that sits directly behind the gear stick -
Sounds like you've had little bit of nightmate just to get them to fit. But looking at them it was all worth it 8) they do look sweet. Yeah still happy with the wheels even the 9s on the rear, all worries have subsided tbh as i've been reading about widewheels and MOTs and Cops - should be ok :D Just bought a set of Toyos for the fronts as i've just got insured on it from 1st May and it'll be in for MOT end of month so im putting a new front set on the fronts.... looking forward to driving it :D Another think i wanted to ask you with those wheels is, did you run standard wheel bolts with them. Took a look the other day and theres only 17mm of the threaded shaft sticking out the back of the wheel (the whole shaft is 27mm) so ive ordered some slightly longer ones, 35mm.

The annoying loose handbrake tunnel cover - a solution!
Critical_Mass replied to daves16v's topic in Interior
Yeah i have that piece. But in the pic it looks as though you have removed the plastic tunnel (as you say, that runs from the gear surround to the rear seats) but there looks as though theres still a plastic fixing under the handbrake in that pic - has the metal bracket attached to it. which is seperate from the plastic tunnel. -

Critical_Mass replied to daves16v's topic in Interior
I'll have to double check but im pretty sure i dont have the plastic piece the bracket attaches to - has a screw hole in the top. I have the handbrake cover but there it a screw that would sit under the handbrake but now where for it to screw into under the cover??? -
It might come to that yet.... cos it's hard to justify having 4 cars. It would be a pity as I do like the G60. Steve Keep the Corrado and put the tow bar on the Porsche

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Yesterday i gave the old girl a good clean inside and out along with a polish and wax. She looked her best for the photos for the insurance valuation :D -
I'm with Dave VR6 on this, i dont like seeing Corrados with tow bars :gag: But it is possible.

I made the mistake of buying some VMaxx which as far as im aware are the same as the hottuning ones. I just found them really bouncy and not a very good ride. Wish i'd saved the £300 they cost me. Got KW V1s now :D Save your cash mate. At the end of the day if you buy cheap and you are disappointed, which i've no doubt you will be, you'll only buy something else. So save the cash and get a decent set of coilies.
