  1. Congratulations to the both of you, enjoy the day. All the best :)
  2. Its on Methley Road in Castleford. Can PM you the address and number if you wish. He's a one man band and always busy, knows his stuff.
  3. To be honest, i would say (personally) that Kwik fit wouldn't be better than a private garage, let alone allow them to do the work on my car... not a chance. Is there a local VW specialist near you? Got to say im lucky and have a VW specialist near me who i completely and utterly trust to do the work, tell me exactly how it is - no, telling me i need work doing that i dont. He even only charges cost price for parts. Wouldnt take the Corrado, or any other car any where else.
  4. Got a brand new Pierburg one sitting around if its any use... bought in error when i needed a VDO one. Though i suspect its the VR youre talking about. Still if you need a new one let me know.
  5. Exactly what i was going to say. ---------- Post added at 2:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:32 PM ---------- Porsche 911 engine. straight 6.
  6. It'd have to be a flip down piece for those of us that wear glasses, like half of those clip on sunglasses you can get  and cheers for the links Tempest. I can have a moan on there now too :)
  7. I know the sender on the VDO sender has a knob on top to adjust it and is accessible without removing the tank ... no idea about how to calibrate it though.
  8. If ever someone says women drive slow they need to have seen this stupid bint, she planted her foot to the floor straight after  I ended up turning round (coincidentally) and headed back the other way as it would have been quicker and we eventually caught her up at a set of lights, but to get where she was in that amount of time she must have been going like sh!t off a shovel
  9. I'll repeat what i said in another thread - I had a cracker yesterday. Went to take the dog out for a good walk with the GF. On the way back we headed down a road that was closed but allowed access. Me and another car was driving along, got to a blind corner to be confronted with a Audi A3 on the wrong side of the road (double white lines also), driven by a daft bint. She was headed right towards us and was only a couple of feet from hitting me. I was doing about 40 she prob was doing the same. I went ape shoite... I can only imagine she thought she had the road to herself and was cutting corners. What a stupid c0w
  10. Some cracking pics guys, wish the paint on mine looked as good.
  11. Well seen as we're now discussing idiotic drivers in general i had a cracker yesterday. Went to take the dog out for a good walk with the GF. Me and another car was driving along, got to a blind corner to be confronted with a Audi A3 on the wrong side of the road (double white lines also), driven by a daft bint. 12. just high beam will be dimmer than high beam AND main beam on as there's less lights on.
  13. The stalk should click when pulled so main beam goes off and high stays on.
  14. ok so you were askin that  Yes as above ... normal.
  15. When you say full beam do you main beam and then you pull the stalk to put the full beam on?
  16. Not sure if this is connected or related to CF but i have suddenly got loads of malware on my comp... adverts popping up all the time. Started when i was on the CF.
  17. Problem with the harlequin Polo is that is looks like a car thats had a crash and being repaired - but awaiting the paintshop. Not to my taste, but it IS different.
  18. This winds me right up. Happens all the time, often you cant see the traffic coming, but you can count the gap and know they're was enough time to get out. V frustrating when you need to get somewhere.
  19. I know i'll get some stick for sayin this but i agree that the price of women drivers should go up to males level as opposed to the males dropping. Think about it logically, women drive worse than the insurance companies think, so it makes sense to put them up. If they dropped the males insurance to the womens then all its says is, women may drive worse than is perceived but the price has stayed the same... Though i do think insurance for both should drop respectively. Would even go as far to say rise the female insurance premiums but then also drop the males, a middle ground if you will. Problem is you cant please everyone, my girlfriend hasnt had one accident, so why should she pay more due to others. It should be done on a case by case basis, but it would be impossible to do that without introducing these "black boxes" that monitor your driving.. and lets face it, no one wants that. Would be the end to having a "spirited" but SAFE drive we all enjoy every now and then. Suppose it would help with those people doing 50 on a motorway or 40 in a national speed limit etc. Would be impossible to track.
  20. Good man. Give him another from me... and another for every CF member
  21. Women being better drivers is an old philosophy. I see as much bad driving by women as i do men. Times have changed. Some appalling driving from both genders.
  22. Agree! BUT if it has to be one of them it would be the one far right.
  23. Parents 5 miles down the road get 60+mbps.. hmmm i can only dream of that... damn you VM!!!
  24. Id say it was the exhaust also. Lucas - your issue sounds like the one i had. Which, IIRC was the pads moving in the caliper slightly. When i rolled up to a junction i used to get one definate knock from the rear, like one clank from the rear. New pads and it disappeared. Had it for ages with no effect.
