  1. May just go for that one then. Along with these clips... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003ASPKYK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=AYMOJ7X4RXSWI and these cords - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000ROF4O6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=A22YOGCNS7K0TM
  2. Was thinking the same thing but with a zip instead. But i suppose velcro would work jsut as well too. She could have a little business there.. Put me down for a set  You can buy coilover socks though cant you. But need putting on before the coils go on the car. Though my KWs have been on the car for 3 years and although dirty and gritty, wipe that away and they're still all silver underneath. Inox FTW.
  3. Had this issue myself in the passed. Got the from Halfords and had to take them back to be given another set with a different number. Still wrong. So took them back again, was told they're the 2 they list for the Corrado. I gave up in the end and went for a different make. Would prefer Mcguard but cant find the right ones either :(

    Aargh

No response yet from Wullie, i wonder if he's sleeping off the drink
  5. Cool may take a look. Need to get ordered really before winter sets in even more. Problem i have is that its sorn, so cant take it for a spin now. I did before it was SORN'd but didnt have a cover to put over it immediately. May give it a wash and dry it before hand. Think it'll be ok? I can run the engine up to temp to get water out of the exhaust etc. Just the brakes wont be able to be warmed up with use. Screwed up paper you say.... hmmm. Oh and does anyone know the length of the Corrado off the top of their head, saves me measuring it. Just wondering if a med or large would be needed or maybe a small depending on the make What about this one - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_565257_langId_-1_categoryId_165611#tab1
  6. David, that one looks spot on. Even covers the wheels. Though prob could do with some eyelets putting in it to tie it down. You can buy those metal eye lets that i assume just press together, would it be easy enough to pierce a hole and attached the eyelets? Unless of course it does indeed stay put in winds.
  7. Cheers guys, ill get one of those dehumidifiers from Wilkos - cheers Jim. Hasan - good tip about the vasoline. I also read RW1 mentioned hairspray- has to be the firm hold apparently. I'll spray the rears - the fronts will be changed when it goes back on the road as they're warped anyway. Fuel is as low as i dare let it go without running out on a drive. David - i liked the look of the one on SpoonFed, as its specifc to the corrado and covers the wheels - to help protect the brakes. But not sure if SpoonFed deliver to the UK.. doesnt suggest so on the site and even if they did it would prob cost a fortune. I'd be willing to spend up to £150.. though if there's one for say £50 thats just as good as one at £150 then makes sense to get the £50 one. Any recommendations - again ideally one that covers the wheels.
  8. Hi all, Well the corrado is off the road for the winter. Unfortunately the garage i have is full of stuff, so there's no room for the C. It looks like it'll have to just stay on the drive all winter, handbrake off, battery out.... Is there anything else i can do. I seem to be getting a lot of condenstion (quite large water droplets actually) on the inside of the windscreen - i suspect the sunroof seal, but not sure. I have a silicone egg thing in the car to try absorb any water inside the car cabin. Im also looking at getting a car cover and was thinking this one http://spoonfedtuning.myshopify.com/collections/corrado/products/corrado-car-cover after reading about it on here. Do SpoonFed deliver to the UK? If not, what other cover would you recommend for the C, ideally one that also covers the wheels - i want to help keep water from the brakes. Cheers Gaz
  9. Sorry read that as immob was on its last legs... not fob. Maybe wise to speak to an alarm specialist they may know the make etc and be able to order one in.
  10. Depends whats wrong with it i guess. A alarm fitter maybe able to source parts. Though if you want to replace it, the Cliffords are a popular choice. I personally went for a autowatch and can recommend them. Also depends what you want, full closure, hidden buttons etc as to which alarm you for. My Autowatch 475RLi has full internal sonics, Intrusion alarms on all opening - doors, boot, bonnet, Full closure, A feature to allow you to find the car in a carpark - indicators can be lit up. THough if im honest not sure how much help that is  , also has panic alarm - can set alarm off with remote. I also got thrown in for free a hidden button to start deactivsate the immob when starting - incase your keys get stolen the car still wont start without the button pressed - i highly recommend this. That cost about £400 fitted by a professional, but that was a good few years ago now.
  11. Couldnt agree more. If youre used to a modern car, the steering in them may feel "fine". But as soon as you jump into the corrado its completely different, not only the steering, but the driving position. The steering feels connected to the road as opposed to a modern car that feels like the wheels are floating just above the surface of the road, with very little feedback. Steering feels numb. Personally i have less confidence in the corners in a modern car. The corrado you can feel what the car is doing. Is this all due to modern cars having electronic powersteering these days? or just lighter steering racks?
  12. Feel bad for scrapping a perferctly good suitcase centre section now. Was in excellent condition, but no one wanted to buy it.
  13. Indeed... didnt even know the T4 used the VR engine, albeit modified.
  14. ah right... p00p. really dont want to have to book it in to the dealers. May just cut my losses and get a new headunit... needed a newer one anyway as the tape deck just doesnt cut it with todays digital media.
  15. yeah sorry its a Passat :-/ BigTartanJudge - not seen you for a while. ---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:50 AM ---------- Ok spoken to VW.. apparently i have to book it in and they'll plug vagcom into it to retrieve the code - cost of £20 So sounds like you can use VAGCOM to get the code. Will try that, failing that i'll take it to a independent audio place and see if they can help.
  16. ah noted. Thanks RW1. Can they give the code over the phone, i dont have to go into the dealers do i?
  17. Yeah i could well end up going to the dealer, but want to give vagcom a go, seen as i have a cable. Will try the lite version thanks Ollie.
  18. Yeah found the port. Thanks. Now, im having the issue of no usb ports being recognised. Im using the HEX + USB download... so many choices im not sure which one is the 16pin to USB download. Its version 11.11???
  19. Cheers Dave. Not sure if its good thing or bad. I put a deposit down on the b5.5 2 days before my B5 was written off - i was planning on selling it. So saves me the hassle of that. Where's the port on the B5.5, is it behind the front ash tray?
  20. Hi all, Need some help. Last week i had my B5 written off. Bought a B5.5 and it didnt come with a radio. So put the one i had in the B5, into the B5.5 Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be a code in the paper work. Can anyone, who works at VW, get me the code? I have the radio serial no. Do VW still give codes out?
  21. Is this for an original exhaust? as the mid section (suit case box) and the rear silencer are one piece.
  22. Very impressive mate. The centre console and handbrake are looking good. Keep the pics coming :) In regards to the fuel filler button/cap. Would you have to remove the wiring for the central locking to do this - as the lock mechanism for the filler cap is part of the central locking.
  23. Gorgeous rado, looks brand new. Love the wheels too. Is that light on the sill, cant imagine it being worn paint, given the condition of the car generally? though ive owned a rado that had worn paint there from getting in and out of the car.
