  1. V Dirty Corrado going passed Harewood today at about 8:40. Saw it at the last minute passing in the opposite direction and just flung my arm up haha. Duubt you saw me, besides i was in a passat not the corrado. Clean your car dude!
  2. No use some wet and dry to soften the edges of the laquer, where the laquer ends and paint starts. If that makes sense. Sand the edge of the laquer to reduce the step between the paint and laquer.
  3. Yes if you take your time. Had to do this with the bonnet on mine when i had laquer peel. As long as your feather the edges of the laquer you'll be fine. Otherwise it'll be visible under the fresh laquer - like mine  however with mine it was quite bad laquer peel and i was sanding the paint too so decided not to thin the paint more and go with what i had. Which is better than laquer peel.
  4. Fantastic, where did you get that out of interest? Thanks mate :)
  5. Yeah my thoughts exactly. The tinted lights set the bonnet off nicely 8)
  6. hmmm maybe the one on my old G60 was just being a bugger than.. or im weak
  7. heh good luck with that. It takes ALOT of strength to get it back on :(
  8. yeah last thing i want it to have to remove the headlining.. not sure whats involved in that either. Doesnt it slide in as such from the boot? so to remove id have to slide it out from the boot hatch. I'll inspect the drains before removing. Does it need sliding into the roof or just tilt?
  9. Ah will give that a go. :) 10kg though!!!
  10. Sancho - what happened mate? Owen - is that a matt black bonnet? Considered doing this to mine or maybe doing it satin black - as i cant afford to get the front end sprayed and its covered in stone chips and laquer peel - which ive had a go at repairing and only been partially successful.
  11. Well i noticed the seal didnt look in the best nick, looked dried out and had a little bit of green moss growing on it. Also where each end of the seal meets, one end was coming away from the actual sunroof. Managed to reseat it though. However, after reading up on here i read the seal isnt meant to actually stop water getting through, its not a seal as such. How do i get the sunroof out? I've looked for a how to, but cant seem to find one. As for the wheels - i thought id posted a pic ages ago when i first got them. Must have forgot :-/ i'll get one up when i can. :)
  12. Hi all, Well car has been sat on the drive for a few weeks for the winter and its still causing me issues. Firstly its been sat facing up hill on the drive and i guess with the heavy rain we've had the scuttle panel hasnt been able to drain correctly. So water had got down the blower grille and soaked all the glovebox shelf and that behind it :-/ Managed to get this dry. However, i washed the car today in preperation of putting the car cover on it and the sunroof is leaking. The front seats are soaked!!! Is this most likely just going to be the drains that are blocked??
  13. David - received the cover. However it says on the cover packaging not to leave it on the car for more than 3 days without taking it off to allow condensation evaporate? Did you have to remove it every 3 days?
  14. They're all like that. Think its an option for something, from what ive asked on here. Maybe an American spec VR.
  15. Love the filthy to be honest 8)
  16. Chris i believe the timing is controlled by the ECU not mechanically. Definately something not right though, could be an airleak.
  17. Nope Corrado is on the drive and no bumps in the daily... Though this morning almost hit the gfs sisters car. Roads where fine everywhere apart from the gfs parents street. I pulled up to the house and slid a good few meters and almost hit her sisters polo - luckily stopped in time thanks to lack of speed and abs - phew!
  18. Scale that up and you'd have a real transformer 8)
  19. Out of interest why is that? why, mine is facing up hill on the drive and ive left it in first? wheels are chocked.
  20. Yeah thats whats making me think twice. The Halfords ones are multi-layered unlike that one. But how well will it fit, compared to the Sealey one.. thats the question? Also then the sealey one has a handy zip top get access to the doors. Tough choice
