Yeah its maybe a punto, but that isnt the point. How can someone destroy someone's pride and joy :mad2: -

 at second look, yes it does.

Get some quotes and find out what price they give you :D
-
 forgot about that. I'm even getting one, IF i can get hold of some OEM connectors.
-
urrgh :pukeleft: Looks like a boil on the bonnet.

Yeah i've heard people on here say they're not very good. But i've not really had much problem with it, and its better then the previous loom i had on  I've wrapped the new relays in plenty of electrical tape. When water got into the relays i found my main beam didnt work, and if i had the dipped beam on and tried the main beam. This turned the headlights off and just left the side lights on. Changing the relays solved this (provided from the buyer i got the loom from)

I bought one from the very same bloke, but it was the SX5. The only problem ive had is water getting into the relays, so there needs to be a better way of protecting it from the water. Here are a couple of diagrams from the forum that i saved for myself. But try the search mate, this has been covered loads of times.

very VERY nice 8) The rich's multistorey
-
Well its not been driven at all at the moment, so no danger of that  Its just another thing to add to the list of 'things to do' whilst its off the road.
-
Its worth changing just to rule it out for the amount it costs. :)

im just worried ill knacker my engine, cos i know running lean is bad :( I'll VAG COM tomorrow. :)
-
f*ck, running rich i can handle, running lean is not what i wanted to hear - or am i over reacting. Saying that, ive noticed alot of black soot around the exhaust tail pipe. So maybe it is running rich.
-
Thats the one CorradoVR6. :D Neil did it cause you any running issues? Such as unmetered air, causing rich running? Or is it a case that it doesnt matter either way?

'lo all, I noticed under the bonnet of my VR today, that the pipe coming from the back of the inlet manifold, which leads under the where some have the PCV valve and then under inlet pipe. It the leads behind the airbox. It must be ripped or something because a previous owner has firstly used electrical tape to wrap the pipe then used zip tie to try to seal the hole (see pic). What does this pipe do? Does anyone have a part number for it? Cheers Gaz

im an 'if i can get hold of some OEM connectors' though.
-
I best get passat hunting. What year passats are we talking for the correct headlight connectors?
-
If its possible to get OEM connectors on the loom, you can put my name down for a 3 relay too!

wooow! That looks nasty mate. Some nasty injuries too, but i suppose it could have been worse. The driver should have got more then a driving ban, like a jail sentence. There's 'accidents', then theres just plain dangerous.

Im torn between taking them off and leaving them on. I love the look of the car more when the trim has been taken off. But i couldnt park the car in a car park and relax. I know they wont ALWAYS protect from idiots knocking their door onto mine. But im sure they've stopped some twit denting the car on some occassions.

Have to beg to differ. They seemed to be everywhere when I was last there. Oh well at least Portugal only has about 20 speed cameras in total, and non near me Dic Dont handly see any - traffic police i mean, not pandas or vans. I see the odd panda car or van every so often. But rarely see a traffic car. The standard of driving now is awful :mad2:
