Cheers tonedef. Thats what im thinking, the lights look just a tad bit bling. I dont want to necessarily paint them black though. Just to darken the chrome a bit, but not sure if this will be possible.

Hey all, I've recently noticed while going down the motorway there seems to be alot of wind noise coming from the passenger door, will this just be the rubber seals that need replacing? Also, if i the window is up and i press close on the button the window goes up a bit. Does this indicate that the window is dropping a bit (possible source of wind noise), if so what would cause it to drop. Also the drivers windows seems to rattle, again is this down to the window rubbers? Any help appreciated. Thanks

'lo all, Wondering if anyone else has tinted the reflectors on the chrome inpro lights, what they used to do it and how? Not sure what it would look like so a pic from anyone who has done it would be appreciated. I know this has been done alot on the OEM headlights but havent seen inpro lights with it - could be saying it doesnt work or plain just dont do it. Advice? Thanks Gaz

Very interesting and sobering. Reading the diary entries reminds me of the book Reg Kray wrote about his life inside and when he got out - good read. -
new to site so id thought id get a pic up.

Could it be the motors as theres one on either side, what are the chances of both being faulty, though i guess worth checking all the same. Fuse possibly no. 21 is the electric windows (2nd from right). I have a bordeaux pearl VR, which is getting a new lease of life in the next couple of weeks with a rebuilt VR lump :D cant wait! -

Hi, Welcome to the forum! Bargin at £450. Is that dark burgundy, hard to tell? What 'little bits' need doing to it? -
I think the nose down stance looks cool, and as said above serves purpose. 8)

Ive been enquiring about a cat 1 alarm. A local mobile fitter gave me a few options, one was a cliffard but was a bit out of my price range. The other was one called an 'Autowatch', never heard of them before myself. But it has all the usual features the toad Ai606 has. Costing £275 inc fitting and also including ripping out the old one free of charge. I would love to have remote start but was recommended to get it when the new cat 1 was fitted as opposed to retro fitting it, again a bit out of my price range, as i would have had to get the cliffard with the remote start as an extra. Any other recommended cat 1s can you suggest? Ive got about 300 (inc fitting) to spend. Cheers!

I'd definately purchase one. Only have one that i bought off the bay, would prefer a better quality one.

Agreed^^ Gather as much evidence of value of car as possible - autorader adverts etc. -
Mine is like that after lowering 40mm. I think its suppose to be like that.

The rear looks better in the later pics. Still dont really like it. Though would look better as a 3 door instead of a 5.

Just been ringing round to fing out more, apparently the immobiliser is built into the engine (somehow). The insurers have just said to me also that the factory immobiliser isnt approved anymore. No mate couldnt see it where you said. Going to have to have a shop round for one me thinks. So what happens to the factory immobiliser if an after market one is fitted, disconnected, still active???

Hi all, Ive read a very old thread saying that Quantum was a VAG fitted alarm on the Corrado. I've rang round for some insurance quotes today and have been given a great quote through Adrian Flux, but was told i would need to get a Thatchem Cat 2 approved immobiliser fitted. This is where the problem starts - I have a Quantum fob, IS the Quantum just an alarm or also an immobiliser. I can set the alarm and open the doors, the alarm will go off. If i set the alarm and try to start the car the alarm goes off but doesnt start. Does this mean i have an immobiliser too, im thinking yes. But when i had a problem with the car not starting the recovery bloke was looking for the immobiliser but could not find it anywhere, ive looked myself and i cant seem to locate it. There is a siren under the bonnet attached next to the coolant bottle and also a red light on the dash, which works but cant seem to trace the wire. Anyone else got a Quantum alarm and know where the immobiliser is? Also, can anyone recommend somewhere in yorkshire where i can get them to confirm i have an alarm/immobiliser (if i do) and write a certificate for me to show the insurers as i didnt get one with the car when i bought it. Thanks Gaz

 It sure is ^^ BUT if BMW did get disqualified and you were in Hamilton's position would you want to accept the championship. Would you want to win the championship in that kind of style, as opposed to on the race track, i sure wouldnt?
-
Would have been nicer for Hamilton to win it imo, though Raikonnen did deserve it also. Im glad Raikonnen got it instead of Alonso. He was the one who had the most odds stacked up against him and he managed to do it - good on him. Next season should be good!
