  1. erm dunno.... Not sure, Vince didnt say otherwise. It was my first ever aftermarket exhaust so limited knowledge.
  2. Kewl, have to get some of those. The black dials look way better then the white ones. Can you get silver coloured dials?
  3. Phil K- loving the dials and dial surrounds Phil, where you get them? As for the passenger, make him get in the boot next time.
  4. 92 G60 Supersprint system- cat by-pass, centre pipe, centre box and back box with oval tail pipe. Purchased a Supersprint system through Vince at Stealth. Highly recommended Goldie, although I got sent the wrong cat by pass and was missing a centre pipe, who i might add was the factories fault in Italy not Stealths. Vince did his upmost to get it sorted, which he did in a matter of days :D The garage that fitted were hesitent to fit an aftermarket exhaust due to fitting problems, but he said in the end he had no probs and it fitted perfectly, no knocking etc. Once on the road it wasnt too loud at any revs. Looked the part and very close to the original tail pipe look. It was a bit more expensive then some other systems at £450 inc postage, but it was worth the extra cash.
  5. Ahhh... learn something new everyday. Well someone (i forget their name) is selling a lambda probe on here to me for £25 quid. Im gonna take it off his hands and fit it. See if it helps.
  6. Does the engine sound like its revving at 5500rpm? maybe a stupid Q, but could it be the clock thats wrong?
  7. Jom??? de-badged grille? Mine (no eyebrow) just has the usual clips attached to it. no need to use screws.
  8. yup as said above^ theyre the same but opposite if that makes sense.
  9. oh and now that you mention MPG dr_mat. I noticed around town im getting around 20-22 mpg in the last couple of days, unlike before i was getting 18-20. No change in driving style.
  10. Ill take a look. Ill put up a post in the "wanted" section too!
  11. switch to this thread. Ah right, in that case it could well be the MAF. Anywhere recommeded to get one? Ive heard (probably on this thread) they can go for £75-£300 depending where you get it.
  12. Yeah, i was also trying to find out on the "engine wear" thread, as i didnt expect any responses on this thread anymore. Cheers for the reply. I think my next steps will be to replace the lambda probe to see if that cures it, if not then ill change the MAF. Again, if not ill get it on VAG-COM again. Last time it was on it didnt show any errors, apparently. Ill get a cable and software myself.
  13. I havent even had an email, bar confirming that i had signed up.
  14. Thanks for reply.. ive had it on VAG COM (bloke who i bought it off did it for me) and it came up a'ok. however i want a second opinion.
  15. Black substance doesnt smell like oil, but not of fuel either. I got the plugs changed and the plugs cleaned. Engine ran ok, bar it seemingly being down on power.... no misfiring. However a matter of weeks later it went back to misfiring. Checked plugs, they were black again.... so i cleaned them and it stopped misfiring. Im puzzled cos if it was burning oil the exhaust fumes would show evidence of that. So this is my theory... tell me if im way off or not. The engine is running rich, which will soot up the plugs. After so long the plugs become that sooted up, the fuel doesnt get ignited propery and soaks the plugs, hence gunking them up THUS the misfiring occurs. Good/bad theory!? Im seeing about taking it down to stealth to see how much down on power it is. The whole sit is pishing me off now.
  16. Cheers dude. Im still trying to get to the bottom of my lack of power issue. 17. dinkus, when you say anything other then a light puff of white smoke from start up isnt a good sign? Well i get white smoke come from the exhaust until the engine is up to temp. I thought this was normal?
  18. well im worried after reading this thread. 500 miles!!!!! i fill up my 93 vr with vpower all the time and i only get around 200 miles out of a full tank. I can only dream of 350 miles let alone 500. Saying that i think my vr is running a bit rich. Which brings me onto the question how do i go about adjusting it the mixture?
  19. So once ive signed up do i just wait to get a card type thing through the post. Signed up weeks ago and still havent heard nor received anything?
  20. call me stupid...... stupid but what IS "over run"
