  1. saying that he has a read out for a 16v turbo.
  2. thats the impression i get as it says the 16v engine is still in the car.
  3. i gave up reading it so far down as the layout and font was appalling. Also why do people who are selling a car with no mot and but say it will def pass 110%, not bl00dy get the thing tested. for the sake of £50 and making it more attractive to sellers. grrrrr
  4. But wont the other cars get jealous of the only one in the pic
  5. Kip - do you want me to post you the article?

Ah cool. Cheers guys. I need to refit the window scraper as its not sat right where it meets the outer bit of trim.
  7. Suprised huh  The pricing on parts is a little off, id say. Front wishbone bush £2.48 inc VAT... that cant be right  Kip if you want it, its yours mate. Id be happy to send you it. :D

dragon - am i right in thinking to remove these you slide them backwards. The clip on the pic suggests so.
  9. Same here James. No hard feelings i hope. I forgot about Baz's post that i posted in myself previous, showing interest.
  10. Hi all, Thought id share this with you. Sorry not the best pic and my scanner wouldnt.. well scan. So ive just posted a pic from my phone. Its a Corrado review in the afore mentioned paper (dates 9th may 2012), that my mechanic pointed out to me. To my suprise i see that its featured Kips Corrado :D See link for a better pic - http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n639/critical_mass08/20120515_183040.jpg Note the mistakes, SOHC, 2661cc to mention a couple. (assuming you can read the words due to the pic quality/size) Not sure if you were aware of this Kip, if you were you kept it quiet as i didnt see anything on the forum about it. Enjoy :D
  11. Put me down Baz, its only fair to give the cash to the person with the original idea - id forgotten about this thread when i read the other one if im honest. :)
  12. 33.56 PER BLADE!!!!!! WTF! I paid about £112 a couple of years ago also.

    Vr6

Yup i have that pipe on mine too and no PCV - not sure, but i think early VRs came with a straight through pipe and a dummy sensor on the end. That pipe isnt available seperate, only with the inlet. I searched a couple of years ago for one, ended up getting one from the states for £30 :-/ If its split if could be dripping oil onto the manifold heat shield. Ben the black box is the damper box for the ISV - basically a box with foam inside it to damped noise. Sorry cant help with the servo question.
  14. I'll have a black one please! :D
  15. No an aftermarket alarm will have a black box hidden somewhere, probably behind the dash somewhere, may be wise to get a alarm fitter to take a look to fix the issue - this is assuming it is indeed an aftermarket alarm, does the fob have a name on it? My VR came with a factory (well fitted by vw after the car left the factory but not quite aftermarket), alarm called Quantum - which is also the name of the dealer oil, no idea if they're related. Im not sure if this worked through the ecu or its own ecu as i didnt see the alarm fitter remove it when putting the new alarm in.
  16. Cheers for the link daley will take a look :)
  17. The plates i was referring to are further back, i'll get a pic from etka later. - infact looking at etka may help a little. EDIT - infact looking at ETKA i see what you mean i didnt realise the brackets at the back of the subframe held by 2 bolts either side were part of the actual subframe, though they were seperate. And yes the ARB does run above them. Is it a big job to remove the subframe as it has the wishbones and allsorts connected to it. As well as the engine, but undo the engine mounts and support the engine isnt a problem.
  18. Chavs dont own Corrados - i wouldnt say they dont like them. But thank god they dont own them!
  19. The window issue soudns like an issue with your alarm, especialyl if the windows operate fine with the switches.
  20. I sometimes wish i didnt and do question myself. Though as Scarlet said there's a certain charm about it. Sure its not the fastest, most economical blah blah blah but it stands out from the crowd (from the ultra dull modern cars - with exceptions), complete strangers come to talk to you about it. Something a little different. Plus it looks fantastic! 8)
  21. Is it an aftermarket alarm? It could be the sunroof, just seems odd to me that water isnt showing itself anywhere else - just the drivers footwell.
  22. cheers daley. so when you say drop the subframe, it is just the metal plate part or the whole rear subframe? Can i just undo the plates with a jack under the subframe to support the engine, are you then able to just lower the jack hence lowering the subframe? Or am i talk tosh?
