I think the mounts are in different locations arent they? Plus you'd need to upgrade the brakes, gearbox (??), front suspension, ECU and Looms etc. But it is possible.

A plug for a sensor that's not a sensor... VR6 question!
Critical_Mass replied to mookie's topic in Engine Bay
I wouldnt bother the plug isnt doing anything so shouldnt cause any problem. -

Ah so thats what the spare plug is for near the throttle body. I know the fake sensor on the PCV is normal, but wasnt sure what the plug with no home was for. Didnt seem to affect anything so didnt fuss about it. Cheers! -

Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Suppliers Forum
Id be interested James, but need one sooner rather than later to be honest. May give it a go myself. Where did you get the foam from James? -
Sounds like a misfire? Check the plugs, HT leads and dizzy.

Cheers Dragon. Good point on the seal Chris. Making one would be a good idea. Any idea where i can get the foam from. Has to be thin-ish. -
Number plate light seal - available?
Critical_Mass replied to Critical_Mass's topic in Suppliers Forum
DOH!! A decent second hand one it is then. The early/late ones are all the same, right? -
Hi all, Done a repair around the number plate lights - behind the detachable metal piece. The reason its started looks to be due to the seal between the body of the car and the light holder giving up and letting water in. Is this part available or does the whole light unit have to be bought? OR does anyone have the light unit FS and the seal being in good condition? Thanks Gareth

haha done that before to a guy who asked me in the petrol station, i said 4k at the time. I know its probably only worth about 2k maybe 2.5K at a push. Cant remember what he said to that.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Critical_Mass replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
As the weather is marvalous i decided to have a go at repairing the rust under the metal of the number plate lights. So far ive rubbed back the metal cover and primeded it. Ive put some rust hammerite rust treatment gel on spot of rust. Will sand it back and prime. Does anyone know if the number plate lights can be disconnected, they're in the way really? -
A friend of mine spotted i suspect a Classic green Corrado - he said forest, he's american and im not sure if classic or dragon green were called different in the states. Spotted L*** TGD in a VIP parking space at Party in the Park in Leeds. Anyone on here?

ah sorry sean, didnt realise you'd said that all ready. if its overflowing Id def do as sean suggested and get the car up to temp without the reservoir cap on. NB - put the heater on hot and the fan on full whilst the car is heating up. Once it boils over, leave it to cool. the level will drop and just top up. Then do it again. You may have to do this a few times. It'll always boil over without the cap on, this isnt a worry. once you've done it a few times, put cap on and run up to temp again and see if it happens again.

Its not the right side is it, as there's an overflow on the bottle. Like a square hole.

get some new brake carrier bolts before doing the front brakes. They could be a bugger to get off and as they're an allen key fitment they could be rounded out getting them off. They're not expensive and just to note they're 2 different lengths - top is longer than the bottom or vice versa.

 you have a way with words mate. There's something behind the "badly dubbed" adverts, something about you pay more attention to them or something - i forget exactly what tbh
-
Let us know how you get on Dragon, company details etc will be helpful jsut in case.

Think he meant that particular valver though didnt he, given the problems it has. -
Its quite clever what gocompare have done. Created something everyone hates, but now are trying to appear to being a "saviour" and doing to that guy what we all want to do to gain favour - for me it isnt working haha. Any advert that annoys me like those mentioned, it has the opposite effect on me and i'll avoid the company.

I believe you can buy the units on their own. from what KW UK have told me it'll be quarter of the price of a new set - whatever that is. As for rebuilding, i think it depends on what version you have. From what ive read on here v1's arent rebuildable (i have v1s). But you'd need to get in touch with KW Germany for confirmation. Also they'll want you to give them the number on that particular unit and they'll also want you to send them it. Which is a PITA i know. Though KW UK also said its unusual for one of their units to fail.

I peel the back off put then cover it in copper grease anyway.
