Any idea how much these will cost if say we get 20 people in on the GB? -
If you had £3k to spend on your Corrado....

Respray and some new wheels. Easy. -
The power flex ok, but i found mine sytarted to squeak after a while haha. A bit annoying. Id say standard hangers. Whats with the transit hangers.
-
Yeah that start was astonishing, i didnt think they'd be able to improve ont he GT-R but they have tried. Seems to have worked too. Sure Kev, no coincidence that the eye candy is within camera shot the rest of the ugly mugs, who are prob more into their cars (see how i gernalised it there haha), are all at the back!!
-
 What ever did he do to his hair! Id happily stand near the back if i ever got tickets for the damn show!
-
Well just watching TopGear, noticing on the front row, girl after girl - nice girls but - could it be that its cool to watch TG these days and its cool to be in the audience even if you have no interest in cars. Its really frustrating for someone who is into his cars, watched it even in its old format during since the late 80s and has waiting for years to get on to the show and having no luck. grrrr.....

Id be up for one as pictured on page 1 -
There is a rubber ring that sits between the spring and the spring plate. Just checked ETKA and only the rears have the rubbber ring showing. the fronts dont.

Nice rado mate, certainly doesnt look like a shed. Loving the shiny shiny bits too! :D You've done a good job on the bonnet too. God knows who thought of putting an engine scoop on it! Keep the updates coming :D
-
Id say the same, though it depends what, if any, future plans for upping the power of the engine in the future. Then again, on the flip side of that, if you can get some wheels you like and fit.....
-
Im confused by this thread. If you bought a new cable and got it fitted, wouldnt that be the problem solved?
-
Could you not buy another bonnet cable?

HEY HEY got me a corrado and should b on the road soon
Critical_Mass replied to jjgti's topic in Newbies Hangout
Welcome to the fold fella, sounds like youre already enojoying Corrado ownership and its not on the road yet :D :D -
Yeah i agree the old 7 slat grilles do look more dated. Jonathan - the later wings are also wider to accomodate the VRs wider track, the bumper is wider also.
-
Good man!
-
Yeah i realised that, but also says spares/repairs.
-
Course i smile when i drive it, i love it. But why not?? I spent £2000 for a new engine, so i am curious to know what power its putting out, just like anyone else who goes to a rolling road day. If you feel the same as those statements and therefore dont want to get your car on the rolling road, that fine, not going to knock you for it. But i would like to know.
-
in that case the best option would be to sell it and let someone else try to fix the problem. The buyer may just break it themselves but thats not something youre going to have control over. But we are all speculating, even me, going on the lack of information the seller has provided. Sorry i just hate seeing Corrado's being broken. It looks a fine example too, he said himself it worked perfectly fine before the issue.
-
I can appreciate that, as its daunting to me too. But to break a car cos of an issue that surely could be resolved is to the extreme imo.
-
Think he was being saracastic dude haha :D
-
You gonna organise that Ryan?? ;-)
-
I cant honestly believe some people. I can understand breaking a car if the engine has gone kaput. but breaking a car just because of a wiring issue, which we all know can be a pain in the ass. But i dont think it justifies breaking it and actually shows some owners arent prepared to own a car like the Corrado. If we all broke our cars cos of an on going problem there'd be no Corrado's on the road anymore - we've all had them at some point.
-
I would hope mine is putting out at least the 190, but hopefully closer to 200 due to exhaust, BMC. Plus its not uncommon for standard VRs to run close to 200 is it? Never had mine at a rolling road, but really want to get it measured. Just dont want to be disappointed. Its only done about 35k miles and apparently they dont come good until closer to 60k miles. So would be good to get an early reading and a later one.
-
Did you find out the reason the cable wasnt working?
-
What makes you want to change the front end so badly. Its alot of hassle just for minor changes, ones that you wont really notice with the naked eye. Bonnet is bulges out instead of in, fogs/indicators are more flush with the leading edge of the bumper. Of course its up to you, im just curious tis all :D Above answers your indicator fog light question, i think (but not 100%) you'll need late fogs and indicators.
