i have tried to swap the plates from one of my cars to the other but have been told i can't as one of the cars is not on the road at the moment.. it needs tax/sorn and mot to be doable
-
If the car has no MOT / TAX or sorn im 99% sure the plate is worthless as it cant be transfered... I had a lenghty chat with a guy at DVLA and from what i understand these are now the rules... If you find a way around it please let me know as im in the same suitation at the moment

blown, also to consider is if you have pumped lots of oil over the lambda when you blew your oil seals it has most proberly damaged that too. I would go back to the start again and check the fundimental area's which can often get overlooked. Earths' harness/sensors etc would be my first port of call.

yes you are refering to the seal where the shaft enters the cartridge which was sorted before the rebuild took place.. -

its an obselete ie non available cartridge.. i have disected and measured the wear on 500-150k chargers and never seen any wear in this cartdridge as stated it mearley acts as a stabiliser for the displacer. this part was also changed in the generation 1-3 chargers and was suspended in like a rubber mount on the gen 2-3 units to take even less abuse -

Im not joking at all.... only the french (i hope) but fresh bearings into un pre-heated casings... this is the worst possible thing you could do in my opinion as if they dont go in totally square the will make there own home and most proberly on the piss. Oh and stevo was it not you that i poke to on the telephone today also ? -

to remove the nu202 bearing heat the casing for 10 mins at gas mark 7 then tap the housing lightly and it will fall out. -

It most definatly does sound vaccum related as i said weeks ago. GO PULL the vac hose off the ECU with the engine running and tell me what it does.

it needs to be on the top left... and had you tried pulling it off the ecu end when the car was idling to see if any differances were made ?
