TSR used to offer it as an off the shelf conversion for 2.5k...do the maths then buy the lysolm kit... if you want to go screw charger.. the g-lader is not unrelible if its matained as it should be... people seem to forget its not just a bolt on and forget part unfortunatly
-
luke : we did tell you it was going to need servicing sooner rather than later. Give me a call and ill give you some prices on the lysolm's if you want to go down that route
-
there sebring / englemann mirrors quite hard to find nowdays. iirc they were a copy of some that were fitted to some early opel manta's.

no we dont sell rebuild kits unfortunatly for the reasons that if installed incorrectly the will blow instantly... i would get on to whoever done your charger and have a little word with them if i were you
-
That's the thing-I've just had them replaced. :( ok but they would still be the first thing on my list to be checking... go pull of the boost hose from the outlet of the charger to the cooler and see if there is any oil in there... *go do it right now to put ya mind at rest**

sounds like somthing as simple as a charger oil seal to me.

Boost return mod - oil vapour being dumped onto manifold
W3RKD replied to markmcie's topic in Engine Bay
yep that would mean yer charger is needing a rebuild then. It's not unusal for there to be a trace of oil in the boost tubes. Its only when there larger deposits in you boost tubes you need to start looking at reasons why. Also mrkmce it might be worth you using a length of flexitube coming from your throttle body as you dont really want ANYTHING touching on hot exhausts etc. -
remember guys boost is only manifold pressure....ie what the engine cant use. I would expect to see a drop with a frot mount intercooler as the pipework should be far more efficent than the std stuff resulting in better flow.
