under 12.2v @ the fuel rail will put the ecu into (safe mode) turn everything on and then measure the voltage at the fuel rail.. I do suspect this could of been your problem..

Yes thats how i check them... no1 spark plug out Tdc and check both pulley marks crank and flywheel. if all of these line up it cant be wrong.

nope... Robs running an eaton down there somwhere.. -
I cant belive this though after 19 odd pages and the time i spent on the phone with niel etc..."him adament everything was correct timing wise" This is how cars like the g60 get a bad reputation when its not there fault at all. Niel.- Glad its sorted for you though now hopfully you can start enjoying it.

I will post up pics of a complete kit... and steve psd has his version which fits with no cutting too.

we have two differant kits available off the shelf. One of those kits uses a intercooler very simular to the golf one but brand new and manufactured just for us... The other is the one steve posted on here allready.

Well how much did you pay for your kit mate? and where from? I've been a VAG techy for 4 and a half yrs now and have some mates that have had a good one and a f***ed one in bits. Its no different to having anything else mechanical apart and putting it back together...... Here's a question for you then... Would you strip and rebuild the air-con pumps ?? I think the reason there is not a full guide on the net anywhere is because no two rebuilders use the same "step by step" ways of building them. Its like anything one person does regulary, they adapt there own method of doing somthing. As the servicing was not reconised by VAG in any schedule's there are no "techie guides" from vag. 2-3 dealers are even sending them to g-werks now as they have seen the problems unserviced chrgers can cause and the new £2000+ price of a replacment from vw.

Please note (again) that these are only manifold pressure readings... **what the engine cant use at any given time** If anything has been do to increase the efficenty of your engine dont expect these figures to be anything like the same as listed above..
-
i wouldn't bother if i were you. if the belts slipping that much you must be using the incorrect belt length.
-
The end seal is passing some oil when cold ie very high pressure. What oil are you using leon ?
-
What you would need to run these on a g60 is 3/4" inlet /outlet as these are a touch small.
-
Image wheels might be able to help you out.
-
Some of the biggest problems are; 1. The small drive belt... not an issue when upgraded to wider belt. 2. Oil feed pipe from head to charger... these fail on the older cars causing oil starvation to the bearings. 3. Non oil fed bearings in top shaft seize.
-
do you want another set with the convex ends too ?
-
If you want to fly someone up to you im sure it could be arranged..
-
465mm is the length of the fronts.
-
what were the readings of your compression test..?
-
you havent blown an oil seal in the charger have you ? are you seeing smoke from the exhaust also ?
-
If you engine is breathing that heavilly somthing is seriouslly wrong. I wouldn't drive it until you have checked it out to be honest.
