hi there! jsut wondering if anyone knows of a good way/place for finding engines for transplants? searched high and low on the net but come up with next to nothing! just started researching a conversion,not settled on any particular motor yet 20v/24v are what im down to,need to get an idea of availiablity though so i know what im up against! as usual any advice is very much appreciated!! :D ta!

yeah i think so,ive known about it being bumped before for sometime,like i say the chassis straight all factory sealer is intact. get a feeling its been pushed out by a bump on the wheel. but its purley speculation! i,m going to have to look when the rain finally lets up!!! i,l replace it if need be as im planning on keeping it a long time!

ive done as you,ve recomemnded and the units are being replaced, they say my subframe is twisted slightly. so they compensated with the coilovers. rang this morning was polite,but assertive they,re getting it sorted monday they assured me my chassis is unharmed,but i dont know if its worth replacing that subframe?? could it be costly!! so camber cant be set to the degree i need cos of the subframe.

well just got my car back from a so called vw specialist they,ve cured my problem but in the process whilst playing with my coilovers, chewed up all the adjusting rings,theyve not covered five miles yet!!!! needless to say im extremley annoyed! any suggestions on a course of action?

theres loads of options,i was baffled myself at first! take a look at the how low thread,it,l probably help!

they,re 205/40/17s got it in for camber setting tomorrow. any recommendations on the degree? they,re quite reputable so they should know what to do.... i hope!

right had a look and the wheels are 7.5 x 17 on an et 37 offset,sending it in for tracking and camber tomorrow! think they may be a little wide? i,l sort a pic for tomorrow

got a little problem,have mentioned it on other threads but no clues as yet. my n/s front wheel is catching the arch no matter how much i lift the front end,funny cos the o/s is well clear of any contact. i know some of you guys run lower than me and wondered how youve got round the problem? as far as i can tell,everythings in order,however when the rain lets up i need to check my offsets. do i need to modify the arch liner or could it be somethin else? any advice is appreciated as usual! thanks

i take it a similar setup of plugs and leads will suit the 16v? ngks and magnecors?just gonna service mine,need some advice on best setup?

thankyou,i shall check that in the mornin,front n/s wheel is scrubbin the arch liner and driving me mad,just lifted it up a little too! funny cos the o/s well clear of the arch???

the wheels on mine were fitted by the previous owner,should they be stamped with they,re offset cant really find any clues? is it easiest just to measure em?

as far as i know they,re from a golf cl bud

went for highsports on mine, best for what i wanted and the funds available! and they,re not bad at all! having said that it could only improve ride as previous owner had done a daft drop on standard shocks! like having bricks for dampers! must say the build quality on ems pretty good to!
