Schimmel 263's - have a look at the curves on VAG-hag's thread!
  4. Missed it again! Need to get my act together. :-(
  5. Sad times. Always sorry to hear of the leaving of a real gent.
  6. Bugger ! I was just coming round to fancying this one! He who hesitates...... Best of luck Bill, commiserations Mic.
  7. It's booked in for 25th, fingers crossed! Many thanks mate to you and VAG-hag for helping me out, I owe you both one! Can't wait to get behind the wheel again, having gently re-acclimatised int' Bora!
  8. Nah then Kip Could I have the 17th of 15 on the stand please?!
  9. Nice! :luvlove: Much envy :norty:
  10. Mine's an '02 and taxes at £245. Long term [6 years] average mpg has been 27. Both this and last winter it never put a foot wrong, shod all round with fairly low mileage Hankook Ventus-prime. VAG-hag's daily is a 150 TDi, pulls like a train  and returns upwards of 50mpg. On the move it's very civilised though in town traffic you can tell it's an oiler!
  11. Can't fault you greeny! Lovely example, especially with proper satnav. They do make a lovely comfy daily and long distance car. I find mine a bit wallowy compared with the C - how's yours? I read not long back that there were only 168 Bora 4Mo's registered in UK!
  12. Thought the pic was great - reality photography - down and dirty! But hey it is Toad's car
  13. Just got this thread - the card was a lovely surprise :D A big thanks to all you guys who make these things happen :notworthy: :notworthy:  PS my second favourite card from a family friend [who's an excellent body & paint man] showed a bay camper in snow with christmas tree tied to roof! Everyone - have a great night tonight and see you next year! :D
  14. http://performancebatteries.co.uk/find_ ... ttery_info http://www.advancedbatterysupplies.co.u ... ry075.html Both give 60 amp.hr 243mmx175mmx175mm and £45 to £50.
  15. Chris If you haven't committed to a purchase yet - I bought a replacement for the Bora last year from Royston Auto at a very good price! [approx £50] Be sure to check the physical size as well as amp.hour capacity as some battery manufacturers recomend oversized batteries which, of course, don't always fit.
  16. Agree with Kip - seems like battery - amazing that it's deteriorated so much since she moved to her new home in September. How quickly does the condition drop off? How old is it? Surprising that there's not enough to turn over the lock compressor. Is there enough to deactivate the alarm?
  17. Nice stoppers and plenty of elegant ventilation for 'em! Can't beat them for inspiring confidence in a car and sailing past other lesser mortals before throwing the anchors out. :norty:
  18. Right! It gives sentimental uplift then!

Does anyone have any curves for the 268's, before and after fitment?

Well - I drove VAG-hag's low mileage Storm before and after 263 fitment [with re-map]. It felt smooth beforehand and now it is exceptionally smooth and behaves/delivers in every way better and no hint of downside. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfG60 NO bhp.jpg[/attachment:2petld3d] G60 NO Torque.jpg[/attachment:2petld3d]
  21. It now has a new owner (my brother the phsyco), and I'm informed that it will be addressed in the not too distant future. I'm seeing a common thread here! Do you need to be mentally unstable to run a VRT? :cuckoo:
