Like this? Those slimline DGA fan mounts are really neat! :salute:
-
Can't blame her for not wanting to get out!!!!!!

lol maybe pink with purple polkadots and a hit of green if it dont look right a will get them re done in a normal colour Seriously though, although it's not a colour scheme for me, it looks an outstanding job and a great platform for a car care business. Perhaps the wheels could be coded grey? On second thoughts maybe that would be a bit twee/chocolate boxy!

I like the shape of the current Cayman and AM Vantage but, of course, would struggle to get either sub £20k They also have only 2 seats.
-
WHAT??!! I'd want a whole new braking system for that! They're avin' a larf!
-
Brave man with conviction! [Though not to my taste.] The wheels are going to be .... pink then? [it's all about timing - I see above they'll be matched!]
-
Indeed - the very shape of the block and configuration of cylinders etc make it an inherently very rigid lump compared with conventional straights, vees and boxer engines so it can resist deformation much more than any other auto engine and hence minimise deformation wear when development loads and stresses are applied.

Brill! :salute: What would we do without it. -
Clearly don't have any competent multi-lingual PR people on board!
-
Wow! Those must be the best ventilated wheels/brakes ever seen on a C. Tasteful steering too. :D
-
Of course, I was forgetting that mass produced OEMs tend to be sliders. Cheers John

Spot on - I reckon it's a lot closer than people dare believe!

No where near enough stopping power for a 1250Kg 360hp road missile.... Forgive me for being a bit thick on this one but surely there's more to it than disc dia? eg caliper and pad spec. Or does your comment refer to a generic 312mm brake setup? [My Tarox 6 on 312mm seem pretty reasonable stoppers - easily better than the 312's on a 4M Bora, though that's 200Kg heavier to be fair]

I blame the parents. Closely followed by the berks who keep putting tighter and tighter handcuffs on teachers who have to operate an increasingly regulated system. Ar*!e covering police system doesn't help either.

I understood from Vince that the later [Mk2?] V9's had an uprated gearbox capable of St2 and upwards applications.

Would like to know this too Mark. Where would you get bolts for my BBS RX's? OEM ones from the dealer as they were mk3 anni rims?? Yes, by VW I was referring to OEM wheels. If they are original OEM Solitudes and Speedlines made for VW they will have the radiused or quasi-spherical bolt seats and be the same. For BBS bolts including matching security bolts in the set, you will have to go a long way to beat PW - see link: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=62256&hilit=BBS+Wheels
-
BBS deffo use the conical ones in your pic!
-
Be aware also that VW wheels and bolts have a quasi-spherical interface and BBS have a conical one. Important to distinguish as you'll get very high local stresses if you mix them. I'm not sure about the interface shape of other wheels. Re bolt/screw length - a reasonable rule of thumb is to ensure you have thread engagement at least as long as the bolt/screw diameter.

Could be! IIRC Butterfly sold her sunroofless mystic around Sept 2007 with about 137k on.

I'm no coatings chemist but over the last 35 years of car maintenance I've used 0.75 of a 2 gallon can of it on numerous cars and found it to be a sound, easy to apply treatment to stave off the dreaded rust attack. It's a suspension of wax in some grade of petroleum which, after application, evaporates the petrol fraction to leave an oxygen and water-resistant waxy coat which to some degree is self healing. I'm not familiar with an equivalent Hammerite product, but Waxoyl has been around for a good while and it wouldn't be surprising if any patent had expired! It would be beneficial to clean up the area concerned as much as poss to achieve as intimate a coating as poss, but in appropriate circumstances it might be lashed onto surfaces without prep just as a temporary defence against rust. The original spray gun supplied with my Waxoyl gave up the ghost years ago, so i use re-cycled "daily shower" spray bottles and find in this weather that a better coverage is achieved by using a hot water bath to keep the Waxoyl flowing! see pic:Image0033.jpg[/attachment:3dxob7de]

I wouldn't say it's better or worse, but quite different from the F1. It's more a high tech lean machine, having more in common with the intent of Honda's NSX.
-
My classic Storm lasted me 117k approx over 9 years. Most reliable car I've ever had! :salute: Least mileage in current VRC - 4500 miles over 2.5 years. Not let me down yet.
-
I think it's a brilliant concept - takes it to where Lotus should have been by now! 12C is beautiful as it is and would make a lovely stablemate for an F1. Is there enough room for a w/e bag?
-
blimey, must be worth a fortune! 8) Is that Shaun's then? :salute:

Just so it's clear, did you wear these, or sit on them?
