djmac56's Golf n Corrado - bye Corrado, Hello Aston! Pics P7!
djmac56 replied to djmac56's topic in Members Gallery
Ok, I know some of you are aware that I may be letting the Corrado go..... this is why! I'm moving to the only car that comes close to the looks of a Corrado IMHO. The Corrado has immaculate service history, and has been maintained regardless of cost, but I want it to go to a good home! Mark -
National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands
djmac56 replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Yeah it was an outstanding event - thanks to all who organised it. After Ron's brilliant trial run last year it was great to see so many great cars come this year for the National Day. The fact that there are going to be so many great photos of Corrados in Weybridge is brilliant or me as I just live around the corner. It was brilliant! -

That's a great shot Jonathan! I'm looking to put a shot like this on my wall. Might you be able to send me a high res version? -

I've not been keeping on top of this thread recently, but this may be the last Corrado event I go to (as a Corrado owner at least). I'm selling mine to make room for a new toy that arrives on the 26th May. I will be VERY sad to see her go. -
Is this nicer?
-
OK thanks Rod, Cheers for the tips boost monkey, and no comment bill!
-
Hi Rod, I'd like hump please!
-
I've spilt some chemicals on my rear seat and so need to find a replacement. Anyone got one that they need rid of?
-
Yeah sounds like if there's a mrs JJS she's planning a leap year proposal!

I'm the lucky owner of a Candy White (LB9A) VR6. They do look pretty good in the light colours, perhaps because of the rarity.

Lovely car, lovely interior. I love to see a dash trimmed in leather on a Corrado. The colour combo is like wine and cheese, which is one of my favourite things!
-
this is my favourite! Full on cheese! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L0IcCVmYAo&list=FLFXEqFNfCnW07qWMWKEeLwg&index=42&feature=plpp_video It's like Patrick Bateman is driving a Corrado - don't skip the first minute if it seems boring - it's worth getting the whole effect of the build up. Trust me!

Welcome back to Corrado ownership - it looks like a cracker you've bought. Remember to start members gallery when you pick the car up! This is a great forum - a lot more friendly than most - hope you enjoy it.

Great figures for the RR Charlie! What are the BBS Reps that you are running? Maxxim Remembers? Calibre Vintage?

Hi mate, there a many people on this forum with much more technical knowhow than me, but I've had a similar problem that I seem to have now (touch wood) rectified. I suffered with a rough "hunting" idle, and when i'd come off the gas, the car would lurch - almost as though it was under engine braking - whatever gear I was in. I replaced the MAF, lambda sensor, ISV, throttle position sensor, sparkplugs, ht leads, fuel pressure switch, and whilst there was some improvement from all of these, the problem never really went away. All the other VRs I drove were much smoother. I even tried the "Italian tune up" to no avail. Eventually, the problem was traced to two places - the wiring for the heater element to the lambda sensor had been disconnected, and more importantly, the wiring to the ECU was madly corroded. After cleaning up the ECU relay and connections the car has been transformed. It's still not perfect, but it's like night and day compared to how it had been. Even with the engine swap possibly resulting in new wiring, I'd have that checked out first, based on my experience. Dodgy ECU signals = dodgy everything else!

Brookland Breakfast Meet 15 May
djmac56 replied to Rocket Ron's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Hard lines Kin - but it's understandable after seeing all those sports cars I guess! Thanks to Ron for arranging this - Brooklands is a great venue with lots to see, and the fact that there were so many other interesting marques there made it different to other VAG only meets. Breakfast included the best sausage I've eaten all year, so a big thumbs up from me. It was great to meet some new Corrado fans - at least 9 of you I hadn't met before. Hope to see you again at Stonor or Brands Hatch! Mark -

I literally live round the corner (as Kris knows) so won't be heading to the rendezvous point, but would love to arrive with everyone. Ron / anyone else please would you call me on 07793763764 when nearby and I'll come right round. Cheers, Mark -
