I think that the rather ugly dash has shades of Corrado about it: especially the centre console with the way it is tilted towards the driver, the cubby hole and vent styling. I prefer this over the scirocco at first look and would have one if the put a 2l tfsi lump in it, and sell my organs for one if the put an r36 in it, which the won't because Vw are seemingly keen to keep those engines away from the smaller cars these days. Arsenschaften!

ah yes - that is Scarlett's

Just a second Kris - how long have you had the Jetta? I don't remember you getting that. I've always loved the Jetta.

I managed to sort mine by applying lots of black shoe polish from one of those tubes with liquid polish and a sponge on the end. Applied about 10 coats over a week. Might be worth a try, depending how far gone it is.

I've got terrible water problems in mine at the moment - rear seat is soaked through - when i lift bench armrest theres a pool of water under there, rear footwell is wet as is front carpets - car is very steamy with the heaters on too. And the weather is just getting worse, so not ideal to spot problems!

I know it wasn't directed at me but I go No rice loads, we should get a few of us to meet up before and plan a Corrado convoy one day, too many E36 BMW's there at the moment so we need to show what we're rolling with :) Yeah I'm from Weybridge -

DSC00169v2.JPG[/attachment:1ge1f83d] I agree with you - although I think if I had mine diamond cut like my 15s above it would work. I just cant afford to right now!!! -

Oi! They aren't fakes  - they were £125 each - special order from the factory in Italy - check out my thread on them: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=74643#p917360 Theres a closeup and a full car comparison as well on page 4 of that thread :D :D :D :D -
Thanks for the advice guys - I'll try and get a photo up later :)

One of my neighbours has what should be a lovely car - 2006 plate Red Golf Mk5, but all wheels are kurbed like nothing I've ever seen, there are dents in every panel. I think I know why - once she nearly hit me driving out of the close as she was texting instead of looking where she was going. She waved and looked sheepinsh but it really grinds my gears that people have so little respect for the road, other drivers or lovely new cars! Anyway thats the start of my rant over. I had my rear bumper resprayed 2 months ago to get rid of some numpty tesco shopping cart damage, and on Tuesday morning noticed that someone left a huge scrape - 5 inches long around the corner of my bumper in a combination of red paint and black rubber. I think I know who is responsible - as she parks near me most of the time... I haven't tried to remove it yet, and I'm hoping that It's only surface and will polish off, rather than gouged out of my bumper. The question I have, is something like autoglym tar remover suitable for removing bumper rubber and paint, or should I just get stuck in with some polish - perhaps something fairly aggresive like Mer? Thanks Gurus

lowering the C slightly... what are ppl's thoughts...
djmac56 replied to -=Kris=-'s topic in Drivetrain
Kris, I have the Gmax Kit that you have listed here, and you have driven mine so you know how it feels (admittedly with the Poly bushes as well). Personally I find the ride a bit too harsh for me and wish that I had spend more and got some coilovers (the sort where u can choose how stiff to make the ride as well as the ride height), but this is because I'm an old git! The handling is pretty good on mine yeah? Also, that's the drop I have and I find it is low enough really - especially with my 90mm splitter. :) -
I'm blown away by the idea of a factory fresh rado with new everything, but for 25g you could easily retrofit everything to your current car, without the big investment... I'm still going to look into this idea tho- i know some venture capitalists, and if every forum member stuck in 25 quid i bet we could get something moving

terrible news Paul

when i read this earlier I was so saddened by it I couldn't reply. Then I realised I needed to let you know I've felt your pain! Hope you get it sorted and your necks improve -
Looks great, sounds great. How does she drive? better than the 12V?

I'd be out every night for a hundred mile drive to get it run in asap. You could take up a pizza delivery boy job in the evenings! :)

Mine on the 18" LM Reps... Note ride height is stock 4motion height cos I'm short of pennies at the mo and ultimately want decent coilies. The rear isn't so bad but the front is a bit too high. Jewish racing beige works well with these wheels I reckon! I know it's wrong to have reps - but not everyone can afford the real deal. When I get my Phaeton I'll put real BBS on it!
