  1. By drilling holes in your existing box. Use the forum search and you should find various ideas on the subject.
  2. From what i remember....acceleration seemed quicker and smoother. I bought the Piper filter i had secondhand from this forum back then, so didn't pay a great deal for it. Don't think i would pay the price they ask for new ones though. Best and cheapest way to increase the airflow on a valver is to modify the existing air box.
  3. Yes it is easy to fit. You just unclip and remove the old filter box and replace with the Piper one
  4. I have had one of the Pipercross box filters on one of my Corrados in the past. They give a lovely growl. Here's a pic of what the filter box looks like Basically the piper is a foam filter in a metal frame box which replaces the existing air box.
  5. I have used a lot of Febi parts over the years and can highly recommend them. However ....i buy Febi parts through Volkswerk in Middlesborough...they sell Febi rear wheel bearings for £8.99 inc postage.
  6. If you mean the banjo bolt.....Etka doesn't seem to give a size for that bolt....just refers to it as Banjo bolt 6-3...whatever that might mean
  7. Bit of an odd problem you have there. Who wired the stereo into your car? Sounds as if it's been wired into a permanent live...possibley into your lighting circuit. Check that it is wired in as follows:- blue/white = Speed sensor feed brown/red = Ignition live black = +12v to aerial amplifier (switched feed from head unit) grey/blue = illumination feed (to turn on head unit illumination when the lights are switched on) red/white = permanent live brown = earth Another possible cause could be a faulty ignition switch
  8. Looks nice and clean for 800 smackers. What jobs need doing to it?

  15. I think the stripes look good......it's the badge that spoils it...lol There seems to be a bit of snobbery in here about putting vinyl on cars. I don't think there is anything wrong with it....in fact i'm going to put some vinyl on my C.
  16. Becoming rarer by the minute and starting to increase in value......keep and cherish
  17. Well chaps.....in regards to the plug and play looms the price looks as if it's going to be around the £80 mark. Afraid the plugs and sockets are rather expensive to buy and are not easily sourced. If anyone is interested i will keep you updated. All the other non plug and play looms are available at present
  18. Great to hear you got the car running and home? Glad my advice was of some help.

  21. I think they have diode relays which are much better quality and offer added protection against surge, short circuit and the risk of fire....Give him an IM through ebay and he'll confirm. He also sells pug and play looms with the proper VW type connectors on. Will post pics of those up once i've had a word with him
