The part you describe MIGHT be what VW call a "spacer". It measures 55mm x 19mm x 12mm and the part number is 443 845 631 A.

I'm glad i off loaded my Jeep Cherokee when i did. I didn't get quite what i wanted for it but then i didn't expect to. Today we have seen the demise of another big American bank. Once there were 5 and now there are only two left. I'm no expert in the world of finance but in my opinion the monetary system that society thrives on will never work.

Seeing as he's just described to you that the car has faults that he never made clear in the advert...i would say that you have more than enough grounds for that contract to be terminated. Has he said that he will sell you the car for the agreed price once he's rectified the faults?

My plan is to make a template of the existing left hand cut out and use that to mark out the right hand one. I'll then measure from the centre of the bumper to hopefully end up with the two cut outs even on both sides. I'll get the pipe made to measure rather than have the pipe made first and find out that it exits uneven compared to the left hand side. I've been quoted £175 to have the rear pipes made up.

What an Ah*le :censored: I hope you haven't paid a deposit. Not much you can do now other than report him to eBay and leave him negative feedback. If you really want to go after him then i suggest you try having a word with Trading Standards. Gutted for you :(

If i was you i'de remove the existing headlight loom and replace with a decent quality one. If i had to guess, without looking at the harness, then i would say it's either wired up to the relay incorrectly, the relay is faulty or the wire that has been used in the harness is not of the correct guage.

Because the builder spends a lot money at our branch he seems to think, in the case of the damage to my car, that he's a good customer and could always take his business elsewhere. My manager is a saleman through and through and all he cares about is the branch sales figures and paying HIS mortgage every month. Thank you for info on the claims link....i never realised it could be done online now.

One would like to think so....but unfortunately he's thicker than the builder....best i don't start going on about him :cuckoo: Anyways....after watching the CCTV footage the builder now realises it was him but he is now trying to get out of paying by pleading with me the fact that he didn't do it on purpose :mad: I'm really biting my lip here.

Confronted the chap today and he was a complete arse about it....wants me to prove it was him after saying ...."so what do you want me to do about it" 3 times during the conversation. Told him i have CCTV footage so he claims he coming back to look at that tomorrow. My manager doesn't want to get involved because this chap is a good customer. Think he expects me to roll over and take it up the backside to be honest.

There doesn't appear to be any damage to the paint. I've found out who it was now from the CCTV footage so i'll be paying him a visit in the next day or so seeing as he's not answering his mobile phone :mad2:

Mmmmm.....the shards are embedded in the glass and there are cracks around them...not sure that'll clay out...or am i wrong?
