  1. And i thought it made sense. I know a picture or vid paints a thousand words but I couldn't do either as it was a spur of the moment thing. Thats why you lot have the thousand words I'm sorry. It is a Sunday and now you have a headache you won't have to do anything for mother's day. Go back to
  2. Mine was on a road so they'll never know! Mwhahaha I did only say some!!!! back at yeh
  3. Finished work after a nightshift at 0700hrs and on my way home I had a bit of fun. Having stopped at a set of lights I look in rear view mirror and see the Type R and a BMW. Lights go green and I pull off (not quicky as race on) but at my normal pace which is not leisurely. Road opens to a long straight neither overtake but they both keep with me but not up my bumper. There are loads of overtaking opportunities but none bother; then on a short stretch the R boots it passed me and on the next straight I feel a whoooosh and realize said BM is M5 tourer. I increase my speed to see the M5 catching the R. I presume they have been toying with each other before they caught me up. Anyhow we approach a roundabout and they both go straight over. Knowing the road goes through the centre of a town with a set of traffic lights in the middle I bend left and boot it round the ring road. The gamble pays off as at the roundabout at the end of the town I quickly glance right nothing coming and boot it in 2nd. I had reached it with about a second to spare my blushes as the R and M are just approaching it, the R driver is suprised, I  and , and proper boot it. The R indicates for a petrol station holding M up a little, I catch upto a Renault ans sprint past it at the bottom of a hill, the M must have caught it mid hill as I don't see him overtake until brow and then he is hunting me down, as I reach the last roundabout before I turn for home he has closed the gap but I only have one short run to my turn off I boot it again and look to see him approaching; he doesn't :( he must have turned left at the roundabout, I slow and another :) appears job done Well done the standard   just wish it had been the VRT :brickwall:
  4. Not wanting to spoil things but I think people should be careful how they post their pictures. On normal google maps privacy they say they can do these street views as its just like walking down a street, which I agree with but by posting your pictures on a dedicated forum for a specific type of car some of you are telling people exactly where to find your car without searching to much imho  :epicfail:
  5. Like but would never own. At that price you are in the realms of numerous cars all of which would be better than the ford. RS2 & possibly a 4, Corrado VRT :D , R32 etc
  6. It's work and pleasure. Zak all the best, hope you have a great time and when you are back I hope you get to some of the tail end of the meets would be nice to put name to face Enjoy Australia; hope the work is good. Soon see you doing looms for old school commodores  Rgds Oz
  7. I bought a Talex which has all the fixed sights in the UK; and it is a subscriber version but only cost 3.95 a month. The system is very good and is accurate. You can also buy a radar detector which plugs into the GPS system so you are covered in all areas. http://www.talex.co.uk/
  8. Must say a very good choice. I was down at The Phirm and they were working on 2 and I got to sit in one for the first time. The seats are lush, I think I could be tempted into one of them
  9. I'm with you on that. I find it hard even running the 4 wheels to get serious traction, what I love about the turbo is on motorways in 5th doing 80 mph then quick right foot depression on loud pedal and I am ton up. It's one of the best feeling ever. Even better when going through the countless 50mph workareas on our motorways and seeing the national speed limit sign appear and just booting it; quick look in rear mirror and all the cars that were around you are back on the horizon :norty: :norty:
  10. Buy a VR matey you will not go wrong with it. The noise of the V6 is enough to make you smile every day, the heated leather seats enough to keep your arse and back warm on cold days and some tasty standard alloys. What more do you need. As for fuel consumption, if that is a major factor buy a diesel. All you have to concern yourself with is when the gauge is nearing the red fill it up and drive some more   .
  11. I can tell you something. You will always care about the Corrado whether it be your daily or garaged one. The problem is with 2 you have to split your funds which is hard going. My original needs a bit of a tidy and this year was going to be that year but the VRT came along and took all its funds on some new brakes and little tweeks so now its 2011 b4 the original gets its just deserts
  12. He might have 10 Aston Martin One's but that still doesn't make his life complete as I bet he ain't got a Corrado
  13. I just couldn't leave my Corrado in a garage for all those months without using it. I run the original as a daily and the VRT tends to be used as and when. It did get covered when I used to go away as the missus complained about trying to juggle using 3 cars. I am now at home for the forseeable future so they will both be used. In fact took the VRT up to N.Wales last week. It a :luvlove: thing
  14. Black or Silver. Don't like the rest. Gold means scooby or renault :(
  15. good news on getting her back. I don't know what else to say ref alarm, maybe they used those cloning signals. I have started using my crook lock items again. Not totally thieft proof but a deterant none the less :nono:
  16. :mad2: god damn it. I have been spotted, well my car has. Blackberry VR was mine and the Dragon Green one was Charlie's
  17. Forgot about this one. Spotted early Corrado in black in Lechlade, must be new to the area or visiting as I have never seen it there and I drive through nearly everyday. I think it was a G reg 1.8 16v Anyone
  18. Gutted for you. Lets hope there is a happy outcome :bad-words:
  19. Second that. Need lots of pictures, missed that one could have added it to my collection
  20. I saw something in there about the Corrado. Can't remember the reference though It was in the petrolheads columns, one of the writers was talking about modern day driving and all the hassles and loves and he said how it was a joy to see a Corrado (something along those lines)
  21. Most definately worth it. I have been so impressed with Kur2y mod that I have asked for a second one for the other C. The amount of light on the road is unbelievable. Best mod ont he Corrado :D :D
  22. would agree there. I don't think any other marque and car has managed to pull off the yellow so well. I can only think it has something to do with the dark hue of yellow that was used
  23. I have a set of OEM plug etc and if you like I can knock you out a loom. Please PM me for details. Have PM'd you
  24. just went throught the thread, brilliant work...........had noticed it first on pistonheads. Can't believe after doing all that you are selling :confused4: unless of course you have found another C in which to create your magic  thank you, no more magic for me....... From your other thread. Once your in the game and the talent and dedication you showed to the first one I definately think you should get another one. In fact it should become your goal to bring back every neglected Corrado so they live forever. Welcome back :D
  25. Kurzy its Oz do you have any more of the 3 relays. I would like the same as before if that is possible with the OEM connectors. Am willing to wait, I have loved the ability to see where I am going on my drive into work, then last week after a long day at the phirm drove home at midnight'ish on roads I didn't know in the new Corrado and it was horrendous.
