  1. C definately beats the pug in all other areas - who wants to travel in a french bean tin? not me :)
  2. gorgeous. looks factory in there. absolutely lovely. :)
  3. cobblers (imo) :) i'm no traitor, i love my C, but a 205gti would slay a C round the twisties. it's more agile and they have very well set-up chassis. peugeot used to know their sh*t in the old days (imo) :)
  4. to be honest mate if you're comparing a C vr6 with a 205 gti, the C is always gonna feel a bit heavy and stodgy. the 205 is the better handling car. dinkus - think your weights may be a tad out there mate. a 700kg 205 gti? now that would be fun!
  5. what about a vege engine?? 1500 inc vat i think for a vr6. and they're supposed to be pretty good.
  6. aren't the 'power at flywheel' figures everyone's using actually 'power at wheels' figures????
  7. thanks everyone. gonna go get some now. i obviously need aligning too, as i have a nice bald inner on my front left tyre! actually, i guess i should wait to get the alignment etc done, as i'm just about to get it lowered!!!
  8. yeah i think i've heard of it. i prefer a large can of whooparse delivered via the accelerator pedal, with sustained high-rev action across my favourite local 'special stage' - seems to do wonders for the running of the engine imo :)
  9. still waiting for a suitable FD and pinion mate. the fella in rome had a perfect set but his mate dropped it on the way into the box to be posted to me! it broke :(
  10. but would i get a 215 on the standard 15 inch speedline??? they're only 6.5 inches or so wide aren't they?
  11. rwd or 4wd??? edit: sorry, by the way those rears are melting it must be rwd!!!
  12. i think it's 700NM not lb-ft....... something like 500 odd bl-ft i think. fekin tidy car all the same! :) savage in fact
  13. definately each to there own (corrado) :)
  14. triggermyson, not too arsed about the speedo being out. i have gps which is similarly (in)accurate as the original speedo reading anyway. and wouldn't a smaller circumference mean slightly better acceleration??
  15. yeah you can. 50 quid for toyo T1-R isn't too bad. from mytyres. but they are 81V instead of the usual 86V. so does that mean they can take less loading? confused.... C is gonna be lowered real soon :)
  16. what a load of poo. 106, saxo and calibra all present i see! :(
  17. lol not even amschterdaaam????? :)
  18. sorry.... and what does the number before the speed rating letter mean...... 86V, 81V etc???
  19. hi all. any idea what effect putting 205/45/15s on a vr6 C would have? was just wondering if the slightly smaller side walls might tighten up the handling a bit? any thoughts much appreciated :)
  20. lol i think actually a fleet of C vr6s would be nice :) black, ice gey violet, etc, etc
  21. definately the audi 2.7 bi-turbo conversion. a piffling 11 grand out of my millions seems very reasonable. rear wheel drive. full-on race bred coilies with remote reservoirs. slicks. maybe a respray in army green. :)
  22. totally agree mate. for the cost of an engine transplant you could have a tidy vr at the moment. makes far more sense in my opinion. then supercharge the vr!
