Cheers guys. So the bolts are up in the holes that go through to the bumper? (sorry I'm not very technical!)

Where are the fixings for the front splitter please? I need to get one off and its p*ssing down so I want to know what I'm doing before I get there! I have searched but couldn't see anything? Cheers

Every single time, without fail. It's only when you get used to real food that you realise just how shi't supermarket food is. I can't stand them, and for this exact reason, we're going the way of America with the likes of Wallmart ( who own Asda ) - buying EVERYTHING under one roof  - how the hell are small business's supposed to survive with competition like that :( I don't use Supermarkets. I was asking Tempest. You probably have to travel 150 miles to a tescos mate :) But......... if you needed milk and you were near tescos, would you go in Dave?
-
No, Tesco's are a retailer looking to maximise profits. End of. Do you buy your meat from a butcher, vegies from a grocer, millk from a dairy, cakes/biscuits from a bekery, etc? Or do you go to the supermarket and get it all in the same place cos it's easier Tempest? Hmmm..... I wonder? Tescos are not experts in food or exhausts - they just sell stuff. Would you buy a Schrick manifold from tescos if it was cheaper than anywhere else? I would.......

It'll probably make your insurance cheaper as most of the bits will actually make your car slower! :)

Great minds mate. Great minds :)

ofcourse you need some torque bhp doesnt come from thin air lol (and imho is more of a fantasy pub figure than a real world number) if you wanna know how an car will drive/pull/feel look at the torque graph bhp graph tells u piss all :) Yes I know you need some torque at high revs. No sh*t. And funnily enough I realise that bhp doesn't come from thin air. Well guess what, bhp doesn't come from torque either. Plum. lol Try looking at some racing cars - think you'll find that torque doesn't count for squat - its all high end power. lol :)

What difference does it make what shop it comes from? Tesco don't actually make tuning parts ya know. They're just selling them!
-
Surely you don't need decent torque at high revs? High revs = power.

double-6s replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Not quite mate! Ok...... one or two subtle mods in the engine, suspension, intake, wheel, brake, exhaust and sunroof departments then! :) -

I have a totally standard blue VR with absolutely nothing changed on it at all. As it left the factory (apart from condition). And a black VR that has one or two subtle mods in the engine and suspension departments ;) -
It's 'ze germans' causing trouble again Kev :)

Just happened to stumble across that site did ya? ;)

The numbers on the springs are something like........ Length (mm) Diameter (mm) Spring rate (in some jonny foreigner units of some sort)

I thought the RSS Clubsports used different dampers to the rest of the coilie range? Mine are really really hard! They are a pain in the aerosol around town - but to be honest a large proportion of that is because of the rattles and squeaks from the rear of my rado. Without the rattles, the hard ride would be way less annoying. And then you get on a decent road and they really do come alive. My car sticks to the road like a mo fo and it's possible to pull off some amazing high speed manouvers. I think to be honest the Clubsports would be way too hard for most people, but I personally think the immense body control and feeling of solidness makes the discomfort well worth it.

If you were going to do a heater matrix on a VR6............
double-6s replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in Engine Bay
I think you should also change MY heater matrix while you're there mate! Economies of scale and all that :) -
Yeah but you can see cars in each colour on that fella's link at the top.

Would not having a damper have any effect on fuel consumption?
-
Oh yeah! How was it mate? Blinding I should imagine? I'm going later today! :)
-
Hmmm...... That'll be why mine keeps stalling since my new one was fitted yesterday then. The damper is still attached to the old one, and there wasn't one on the enlarged TB!
-
My guess is it stops it closing too quickly? Someone put me straight please!
-
At the risk of offending some people, I don't really think its about 'what you Dad would have wanted' mate. It's all about you now Andy. I think you should do whatever YOU think is right

I dunno about 4 cylinders but with a VR the best bit about the manifold is the noise. Its addictive :)
