Apparently not mate. Some folk have done it by removing only the glove box and lower passenger side bit I think. try the search...... heater AND matrix As I understand it though its a lot easier to get all the cables etc back together if the whole dash is out. I've got to do mine too :(

There are indeed David. One that springs to mind begins with 'Gr' and ends in 'een'. Just an example off the top of me head :)

We'll check it out mate. And I'll introduce you to some of the longest roads around with no cameras! When I actually bother to go into the office (rare), I have a 70 mile journey with not a single speed camera and there's almost never any rozzers either! :) The bottom right 'quarter' of the M25 has absolutely no cameras mate - its a 4 lane race track! Or at least it would be if I was less responsible..... -
I thought the standard wheel was HUGE? Isn't it about 380 or something? Are they all the same size across the rado range? 300 isn't too small mate (IMO). It just takes about 6 months to beef-up your wrists enough to handle it! :)

Yeah I agree mate. Depreciation is a lot more convenient than a pigging car that doesn't work/let you in/keep the rain out etc!

Trouble is with something newer you then start loosing money through depreciation rather than maintenance! Swings and roundabouts really. I have been checking newer cars out though!!

I'm going to break my blue one and sell everything I can. Then I'm going to get a 9 inch grinder, a sledgehammer and some fire, and inflict some serious pain on whatever is left :) Revenge time.........

Wierd. I think mine is about 2800 or so at 70? Not sure though as I try not to drop below 120 if at all possible. -
My car always has problems Trig. Wierd thing is I have a much better one on the drive, but I just don't like it!! Doh!! So I continue to plough shed loads of wonga into the black one. My point? Rado ownership is not a logical past-time mate!! :)

Wouldn't the speed at 2800 rpm be the same unless you changed the final drive mate? -
I know exactly where you're coming from Trig. My rado is on very very thin ice and has already had its verbal and first written warnings. Any more and I think it might be Mk3 Golf time :( But if you want to chear yourself up, I could send you a PM with how much I've spent and what still needs doing? :) It seems to be something almost every day at the moment and it just gets worse through the winter :(

I think it's not too bad on fuel? I seem to remember a few people saying it's made not a lot of difference. Insurance? Just learn how to take it off (quickly) and don't tell them.
