Isn't the sharan vr6 engine detuned like the caravelle vr6 one? The caravelle vr only produces about 140 bhp or so. Hopefully the sharan one is full power! :)

sounds like your motor is about to fail perhaps mate? mine did similar for a few weeks before the motor died altogether. probably about the cheapest repair there is on a vr so it's not all bad!

Yeah just let him ask the questions. Personally I think there are some really minging members cars on here, but I wouldn't say it cos its down to personal taste and bugger all to do with me! Well, I TRY not to say anything at least!

I find mine spins loads more on 15s than it does on 17s. So maybe shite tyres, but also the floppy side walls make a big difference imo (i've got decent pirellis on the 15s)

Mate I reckon the last thing you need right now is more power. If you're so inexperienced that you're not familiar with the wheels spinning when it's wet, I would spend some time getting to know your car and getting driving experience. What about spending a bit of cash on a driving course run at the track?

Howdy mate. Your vibratechnics will be there before 1.00 tomorrow :) So do you reckon the leather recaros are less huggy than the cloth ones? I don't have the smallest ass in the world but do fancy some black recaro niceness.

Cheers - so is that a dremel type thing but better? I really haven't got a clue! Do you start with a sander then get finer then polish with a felt attachment? I am really worried about doing damage that I won't be able to reverse. It might have to be a local purchase too as I really need to start today and get it up to Vince for fitting.

Hi Recently bought a Shrek intake that has previously been polished but is now looking a wee bit tired. I am a complete polishing virgin so was wondering how I go about it. I'll get one of those little dremel things, but what attachments should I use? If I use a sanding band will it scratch the fek out of the metal? The main bit of the system is fine and looks like it will polish up with a rag etc, but the bit pictured has some pitting and i'd like to get into the corners a bit more to finish it off. Please could someone explain in simple terms so I don't damage my toy! Cheers :)

How the smoke disappears will tell you a bit more mate. If it stays around and can be seen blowing away its smoke. If it just disappears fairly quickly without 'blowing away' it's steam. Both are white and smoke-like! :)

Absolutely. The autos are quite nice on the motorway but they're troublesome. My mate spent a fortune trying to get his right. They drink fuel even more than the manuals as well.
