If you break them in properly i've heard they're very good. Bit harsh and thats made worse if you don't run them in properly. I have a mate who is very much in the know on the dub scene, and has been for yonks, and he loves em. Most seem to disagree though.....

Will I sell my Rado?? 24v V6 - PVW Cover Car Jan 06
double-6s replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
Unfortunately the answer isn't going to be the one you want to hear mate. Its worth (market-wise) whatever it sells for, but that obviously isn't going to match up to what it's worth to you personally and financially. I don't think there's any need to have a pop at anyone's comments though - that elusive 2% that Kev mentions is gonna be virtually impossible to find i would think, so the comments are fair are they not? Good luck with the sale and the next project...... -
For future info, Mk3 Golf fans can be used as well. With a tiny bit of adaptation :)

Hasn't he got that already Crasher?

no you won't!!!! stop swearing mate. just gotta make sure you get a good one fella - you could do far worse than asking me what i think of a car, and then doing the exact opposite!! :) i'm great at picking out sh*tters :) -

Did you go and look at those vr's today Greeny? -
Basically yes mate. A decent induction kit (bmc cda?) Some people like BB throttle bodies. 6 branch manifold for a nice roarty sound. De-cat can't hurt.

Hi Anyone know anything about TAG Engineering? Its a vw/audi specialist (i think in Dorest somewhere, maybe near bournemouth?) that does engine rebuilds. Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Dn't buy one off the tw*t on here called majik - that would be my advice. Bleedin tea leaf :(
-
Although I have to say it's not massively my cup of tea (just personal taste of course), I have to give you full respect mate for building such a properly minty car and then taking it to the pod and ragging the hell out of it! Brilliant :)

Mine only has about 40% of the gubbins remaining :( Some pr*ck of a previous owner decided to rip most of it out!

They are pretty fookin rubbish aren't they? Not the most reliable diagnostic system.

I thought this was a thread about some sort of hip hop record/dj tool 'break discs' :)

Get the nos mate. With a proper progressive controller rather than just an on/off switch. Something that releases more nos depending on throttle opening etc. ChrisVR6nos might be the man to ask?
-
Fair play Jay :) I reckon the 24v should be pretty good from a standing start shouldn't it? Lots of low down grunt?

VR6 HT Leads, how the bloody heck do you get em on?

Long-nosed pliers? -

-
thats one way of looking at it mate! :)
-
thats if its just the head. i can't see any way of describing a full rebuild other than bad (and its derivatives)?
-
Yeah its railway crossing city round here :(
-
I hate to say it mate but from the sound of it that oil seal is the least of your problems :( Welcome to the (bad) club
-
Yeah they're coilies - dropped a fair amount though. And yeah its the lack of travel - can be interesting mid-bend when you hit some nice bumps at 80!!! :) It does make me laugh seeing it when walking back to it when its parked with two wheels on a pavement - it just follows the angle that a plank of wood in the same position would!!! Tiny bit stiff then ;)

Dave, any idea if you can adjust the alignment on the rear of a C? Mwahahahahaha :) :) :)
