Cheers Dutch. There's now a remote possibility of an r32!
-
i'm in exactly the same position as you adambob - was going to rebuild. now i'm not so sure. may go 24v or even r32 :) fek knows!
-
around 240 standard yeah. but the latest one is 250 standard i think (mk5)
-
I'd say the handling differences would be.... Slightly more nose heavy with the r32 obviously. This has pros and cons if you ask me. I prefer the heavy/chunky feel of the vr corrado compared to something with 60 kg less under the bonet, and so would defo have the r32 lump. But ultimately the lighter engine should give better handling. IMO :)

i was thinking of a 12v rebuild, but am gradually getting talked around to 24v i reckon. how much does stand-alone management cost phat? did i read one of your posts mention it? just curious again. oooh - have you got the kw's yet. think i may go for the v 2's
-
that 24v i was looking at (original post) is from a lhd beetle that was a show car for an ice company. the amps caught fire! the guy said he can't verify the 5k mileage but would happily warranty it. does the fact its from a left-hooker have any bearing? sorry to ask so many questions, but i need a new engine. cheers
-
cheers phat. there's some tasty sh*t out there eh?
-
cheers. and are the audi/dub lumps essentially the same?
-
is the audi 3.2 engine the same as the r32 lump? and would the inlet manifold off the audi 3.2/r32 fit on a 2.8 lump? just curious. cheers
-
is that true? i have to say i have seen untold up-market mass-produced cars with seriously poor paint finish.
-
thats because he could only do 30 mph due to having 1.04mm between splitter and road surface!! :)
-
oh you bar steward!!! you serious??
-
that does look tiny next to darrens eh? they both look quality :)
-
lol. where abouts are you based furk'z??
-
Its a passatt... lol! is it? i've stood and admired it in the flesh without realising! perhaps i'll just smoke fags tonight ;)
-
his ride is lovely - very different around these parts. fek knows how he gets up the 'drive' to work though ;)
-
nice pics. g60greeny - i think he wears a hair-piece for photos :) your bora looks sweet darren :)
-
oh yeah? what ya got? what ya got? what ya got? :)
-
i see your point trig, but that's not really a comparison at all. i can plaster a small patch/repair, but give me a whole wall and guaranteed it will look utterly sh*te. maybe the paint on the merc is an option? pimp-skin paint effect? :)

don't even bother with the rear 6x4's mate. rubbish speaker size.
-
i was told by the guy that does/did gas-flowing for all the big tuning shops, that a gas flowed vr head will only give about 5-10 bhp. i think standard r32's are roughly 235-250 depending on age, newer ones obviously being more powerful.

what offset you got on there at the moment mate?
