Hi. Have just gone out in the vr and it absolutely stinks of petrol. it's been 'hunting' up and down on the revs today - no idea if that is related or not. The strange thing is it's been running like absolute poo for a week or so, but since the petrol smell/hunting its running smooth and true! Also, yesterday i put the air-con on and that made it run far better as well!!!! WTF??? Any ideas? Don't worry, you can't shock me - she's due a bottom end rebuild anyway :)

oooh, sorry to see that damage mate. i just avoided the same a few weeks ago when i changed a wheel - forgot to do the nuts up tight once i'd dropped it off the jack :( luckily i felt the wobble in time and stopped :) good luck with the operation ;)

big valve head for a vr is horrendously expensive mate. haven't got a clue what stealth charge, but i enquired recently (this week) and its around 1300 quid or so for a decent job. whereas you can get the head, inlet manny and throttle body ported and polished for about 350 or so.

i think the arb is a kinda curly thing, whereas a strut brace is a thick, straightish bar. proper technical me :)

getting my van tomorrow. no more daily grind for the rado!!! :) :) :) which means i can lower the fek out of it and not worry about practicality!

Yeah I want to hear feedback on those too as I was considering getting some myself. I've heard alot of good stuff about the KW's. And they look amazing build quality. In fact I think I've just been talked into ordering a set of variant 2's. I've also just tried a 2.0 16v on weitec coilovers - very nice. Nice comfortable ride even with a relatively big drop.

I did think I was making a valid point. A big fat german sat on the left (as vw intended) should nicely even up that weight distribution?
