Prob something to do with Hitler! Peoples car and all that! :)

1, How often do you have passengers in? 2, You can put it down if you need it or for them if they ask nicely! 3, Could it be the drivers side? Maybe something to do with the fact you can only do one window at a time and the drivers switch is making the pass one think its pressed or something? Try unplugging the drivers switch and see if it works then. (Warning: Any tech advice given by me could make no sense at all!)

My C's petrol gauge has always gone down when accelerating! I think it uses petrol when running???? Only kidding! :)
-
got a pic of it?

I'll work on a template for multiple cars tomorrow. See what you think and we'll go from there!

You cant see the rust! Although £650 sorting that with a partial respray! Stan, I'm going to give him the list and say, fix as much as you can on this list within this budget! And give me a price for the second part. Trouble is I've never taken a dash apart or anything similar so don't want to do it without someone there as back up first! Much easier once someones showed you. Having a BBQ a week on saturday, why dont you come over and help me take it apart! Theres a steak in it for yer! Maybe even beers! 8)

Is it a camera trick! And its only a keyring close up? Should be!
-
What am I missing from the list then? Thought I'd thunk of everything! This is excluding bodywork/bumpers etc.
-
Quick! Put sand in the engine, he's coming tomorrow! :)
-
It cost me £25 to get it fit whilst I was shopping. Not worth the hassle TBH!
-
I'll leave it then.

Thought I'd make a list of things I need fixing/sorting and a list of things I want to get a price for. It's never ending! She's going back to Andy at PSI Tuning on Saturday so hope he's ready, and my wallet come to think of it! Things To Sort Out: Water In Drivers Side Footwell Blue Smoke (Thinks he's got it almost narrowed down, temp sensor) Rear Window Screenwasher Electric Mirrors ABS Air Con Central Locking Light Around Blower Controls Pass Door Handle Stiff Things I want A Price For: Headlight Loom Headlights Left On Buzzer Sunroof Slide Not Sliding Rev Counter LED's Built Into Dash Binnacle (Change LED's) Starter Button (Using the blanking area next to the rear window heater) Change The Green 'Clocks' Light To Blue Shocks/Springs (Lowered 30mm) Angel Eyes Turbo Charger Added! (Ahem  ) It's going to be a lean decade! And this is before I start with the bodyshop list!

Ooo, tell me!

I'd change it if I was you. My mount had gone and the flex in the engine rubbed my oil cooler pipe until it burst. Go for the Golf MK3 TDI engine mount, same as the Corrado one, just uprated. About £25 from GSF (recommended by g-man) and only 1 hours labour to fit.
-
It's red Jim, but not as we know it!
-
just said the MK3?? I assume thats a golf?
-
He's meeting me half way actually. Prob on the M6 - M65 junction. Then we swap cars (courtesy). So yours wasn't the M** VRG car then?
-
Come on, own up whos got one!
-
I was focusing on the power & torque aspect of it. I've owned valvers more powerful than the Corrado variants and I believe the VR6 is much easier and obviously quicker to drive. Even Top Gear said the VR6 is the one to go for, and lets not forget the reviews of when it came out saying the first engines were underpowered for such a good chassis. They're not bad cars by a long shot, I recommend people who cant afford the higher ins etc to go for one, but the VR (IMO) is better. How much better is the big debate.
-
Well, that’s a load of tosh…! How many valvers have you driven? if they were so crap how come we all havn’t upgraded to a VR long ago…? You obviously didnt read my post properly. Heres a quote! Emphasis on the bracketed comment!
-
The rest were covered in a sticky substance.
-
VR6 every time! So smooooooth! Really is fantastic. 4-5k for a 12yr old car that will probably never lose any money if looked after. G60 if you really want to tinker, but (might be wrong here as never owned one), but VR6's are much better than the valvers for driving. Hence the reason you can pick them up for half the price of a VR.
