Hmm... starting to think maybe a K&N filter might be better for me than the re-route I was planning. @Pete: Is this fact, or just pure conjecture on your part... i.e. has to ever happened to you, or a just a friend of a friend who once had a Corrado ???
-
hahahaha Welcome to the wondful world of Corrado ;) Do a search as there are a number of things you can check just to make sure.. Lambda etc...

The G60 usually has a 50 litre tank (from memory) The MPG depends on so much..... depends what you've done to it as mods to the engine will change the fuel usage, and/or the MFA readout ;) Only way to make sure is to fill up the tank fully.... drive a certain distance (50miles etc) then fillup again and do tha math. Chipping sometimes screws up the MFA reading for MPG. What MPG are you getting..... ?
-
um.... a big one ????
-
... or just replace it as they're dirt cheap and worth replacing anyway.....
-
... or just not watch when driving. Might seem a better option really.

My girlfriend loves it... when my old one died on me she was the person trying to get me to buy another as soon as possible ;) Now she wants me to fix the old one for her...... fat chance of that though. She's 22 and has 0 no claims. The insurance would be more than the car.

Where does the thermostat fit in the system ? As I guess I'll have to install this myself and I'm not good at engines ;)
-
Try explaining that in German  Ich möchte ein thingy cap.... im blau bitte  I'll reinstall my ETKA if I can find it..... must be somewhere
-
Do you have a part number fo easy ordering.... I need to get some parts in so might as well replace mine as well.
-
The seal on the older caps can go... this causes a pressure inbalance which can cause problems.

It's fitted vertically behind the grill, right next to the radiator. As I had a mechanic fit this I'm not sure if he removed the original oil cooler, but I doubt it. Langauge barier is a little more than I can get over, so things don't always get done as I request... still it gets done. Is removing the original oil cooler (sandwich plate right) easy to do ? Any pics as I'm not sure where it is in the engine.... My cooler hasn't got a thermostat so it's always on.... temp starts at about 56° after a few minutes and then creeps up from there. So the temp looks accurate, just the oil cooler doing a great job. The temps quite hot here still (at least was at the weekend) it was 24° in Austria and driving fast to heat the oil just got more airflow to the cooler and made the temp reduce 2°

Got my car back after some heavy work at the mechanics...... one of the new things was the 13 bar Mocal Oil Cooler (thanks Flusted). So the advice I had was to not trash (i.e. go over 3000rpm) till you hit 80° for the oil. So It's filled with nice new Mobil-1 and I took it for a nice little drive waiting for the oil to hit that magic number.... after 15 km it was still hovering at about 76°. So what can I do to change this... as having a nice fast car is pointless if you're not able to drive it fast ;) For info... the Oil Cooler is fitted behind the front gill longways next to the radiator. So fitted well (possibly too well) for air flow.

Question is how much of a squirt ????

Does a C still 'hamdle' on 17 inch alloys....

I had 17's on my old rado.... it drives ok, but can and often does hamline quite a lot. I think 16's are a better option for all round.... -
I guess the cars in America all have straight airpipes ;) We all know how American cars hate corners after all...
-
Nice.... If it's TÜV approved I'll take 2 ;)

Doors that spin..... $2000 each Bonet the flaps open..... $1000 Boot lid that flips...... $750 Wheels at a stupid camber...... $50 New tyres every 10 miles due to camber....... $500 each time Looking like a complete tosser whenever people see you..... priceless

Might be interested in that stoney.. the RM's are split rim right ??? If you've got pics and a price in mind let me know (I'm in Germany mind you, so postage is an issue)
-
The only thing I'm worried about is the wheels not look wide enough...... Don't want it to look silly ;) If you can find any pics Scarlet I'd love to see...
-
That is a thought, although to my uneducated eyes they look the same as the standard G60 BBS's..... Do Borbet A's look stupid in 15"
-
I like the RIAL ones.... although to be honest I prefer the BBS to these. Not realls sure on the second ones though. Not really sure that sort of style suits 15's.... Although if you've got some pics I'm happy to be proved wrong.
-
I was thinking about some BBS rims, but the ones I like are split rim and cost a small fortune ;) Also, anybody know if the Girling 60 (Audi S2 calipers) fit behind standard 15's :?:

Ok.. so after a little digging regarding the legality of me running 16 or 17" wheels on my Rado over here in Germany... I've come to the realisation that I should just stick to 15's at least for the meantime. I have a set of 17" wheels (MVK 10's) that I'll be getting rid of soon as they're not TÜV certified (bummer) So.... here's the question... what can I get that will still look good in 15" with the standard 195/50R15 tyres. I'm happy for a little stretch but otherwise need to keep to the standard width (6J right ? ) I've seen a pic of a black Rado running on 15" Estorils (nicely polished) and thought it was a good option. However before taking the plunge I wanted to see what anybody else had to offer. just for the record.. it's a Black (more dark grey really) 1990 G60.. lowered on FK Highsports (soon) I'm particularly interested in the Pirelli or the Ronal Turbo's if anybody has some pictures of these on a Rado ??

No the angels have a different internals.... these ones are the new style projector lights on modern cars like BMW... At least I think. Might wait till they come out with something more normal looking before I go for these though.. and let the price come down a little as well. Sorry to ruin the surprise iow, let us know how they look and work when you get them ;)
