  1. I might be interested in that doc... I need to do this on my my G60.
  2. The twin induction box is a little expensive though isn't it ? At least for the boost increase acheived.
  3. Porting the charger is a nice way of getting some more boost, but you have to be sure of the charger first. Plus before going faster you should be sure about stopping as well. I made this mistake and now I wish I'd gone for some brakes first off ;) Personally I went for a ported charger, SNS (antilag) chip, 68mm pulley and an RSR outlet. Best to start simple. 2354957 times and counting... You can do a few cheap mods yourself as well. Most are in the Wiki. Things like the RSR outlet, and replacing things like fuel and air filters can make some nice differences. You can also fiddle with the airbox if you feel like it.
  4. Yes I was tempted but personally I just can't afford the £480 plus shipping to Germany. Especially if I can pickup a set of Girling 60's and refurb them for alot less either locally or on the bay. Whats the difference between the girlings from G-werks and the original ones from an Audi ? Other than age of course ;)
  5. Odd the fastest I've been in my G60 was about 140 while racing spanking some guy in a Rover 220 Turbo  Still we don't talk about that.... as you never know who's listening
  6. I've been doing some research on this myself for a conversion.... fomr what I understand they will fit as direct replacements (although the brake lines may need replacing) Although the one thing that put me off was something people mentioned about the brakes having uneven wear due to the brake pad being slightly off the edge of the disk (4mm springs to mind) Hopefully somebody can confirm as I keep wanting to get something better for my front brake setup.
  7. I have the JBL 4x6 in the back and they seem fine (although only really good enough for people in the back as you can't hear them up front at all) In the fronts I've got a pair of Alpine 5.25" and if you've got a sub then you should be happy enough. If no sub, then you might need something a bit more top end for the bass....
  8. He's a spy for VW... didn't you know ????
  9. Grinder.... corrado.... Grinder.... corrado..... No... it's just wrong. Even worse if you stay to watch :ignore: What did I do today.. bought my Corrado a new little friend (pics later)
  10. How did you mold the back into the space ? Looks very neat.... thinking of doing that myself in the new car.
  11. Leaves can sometimes get into the guttering near the wipers.... this can sometimes cause problems, although I've never heard of 4inches of water in the footwell before. Can you see where the water is coming in from ? and is the water cold or hot as it might be a problem with something else. I seem to remember talk about the heater matrix going and soaking the inside of the car. I could have things mixed up on this though. Plus I getting the feeling that would be a little more obvious...
  12. Just out of strange curiosity.. whats the difference between standard and rally lenses ?
  13. Just wondering if anybody has done this before. I'm driving in German and Autria where it's law now to have your lights on ALL the time. Problem is, I'm so forgetful the battery spends more time on the bench recharging than in the car right now. I was thinking about the buzzer mod, but I really need these on as standard like a volvo driver (yeah I know).... Thanks....
  14. Now and then, yes, as my parents live in D. Nice..... If you ever come near München give me a call and I'll treat you to a beer ;) I learnt the hard way about letting somebody else drive my car.... My first Rado hasn't been the same since letting myy girlfriend drive it  Still, she's not insured on the new one (at least not that I'm telling her)

Not sure about the vr6, but on my G60 they're behind the grill at the front. Just pop off the grill and they the y are....
  16. You pop over often then Tempest ??? I'm not sure I'd be comfy letting an "Estate Car" driver in my C ;)
  17. I've been having real problems finding a good spot for my IPAQ and it's holster.... I hate attaching them to the screen, but that sort of seems the only option. Still, liking the mounting method ;) If she's anything like my tomtom though, she says right when she means left :x
  18. A valve to stop the ISV from venting the boost at high pressure. Although I didn't think the ISV "vented" until after 16 psi. At least on my last run with Darren at G-werks mine was pulling 15.5 psi fine without it venting.
  19. Ouchy.... Might want to get a second opinion on that incase stealers are living up to their name.
  20. They say things go wrong in threes... but when it comes to G60's it feels more like tens.
  21. I'd say this is getting silly, but I think we're way beyond that stage right now *rofl* I have a sudden craving to watch back to the future now... and it's all you're fault Mr. Potatohead
  22. Surely he's arranged for a timed postal delivery to one of us as a cry for help ???
  23. Not if you're nifty with a sharp blade and some strong glue ;) I did the botton lugs and then used cable ties to keep it in place... never had any problems even on the German Autobahn ;)
  24. I have a late grill on one of my G60's and the clips needed all cutting off and refitting. From what I remember the slots are like this :- Late style | | | Early style | |
