Are the stardard angeleyes projector ?
-
I'd rather they were styled more like the originals, or the angel eyes..... I'm not sure the black will suit every car.

Just stumbled on these on a german parts site... HERE Not 100% sure of them myself.. but wondered if anybody had seen these on a car yet ? maybe they look better on than off ;)
-
Long drawn out storry.. but the engine is pretty much dead... It started to develop rust after an accident i had in the snow as well. So repair bills were looking higher than a new car. So I bought a new one (same colour, year and model) that's already registered in Germany. Just getting it up to scratch. Still, the good parts will live on in the new G60 ;) Red ones.... surely green to keep with the greeny theme.

Greeny.... that's a whole different thing. As long as they're not blue neons then it'll be fine ;)

Can we get some pictures after it's working.... it'd be a shoe in for the April calendar picture (April fools) ;)

Best bet might be to strip off the outlet and replace it with an RSR outlet ;)

Bypassing Matrix.. really need some help *updated*
catch_twotwo replied to catch_twotwo's topic in Engine Bay
Ok I've been trying to get the 2 hoses off for an hour, and come to the realisation that due to the amount of other things in the way I'm not going to get this done without lots of extra work stripping things out (Like the start motor.. I think) So... here's the status and the question... Right now my rad temp sensor is broken, so no fan, and no rad to cool the water (I can jam the fan on full though manually by crossing pin 1 & 3). This is probably what broke the Matrix. Still, that's just another thing to sort. Right now if I have the car on, after about 60 seconds I get steam in the car, however only if I have the heater controls set to hot (fan off or on, doesn't matter). If I set the dial to cold I get nothing, no problems. I have no loss of coolant, at least nothing I can see... and no wet carpet. So here's the question. My car is booked in at a garage on Saturday to be worked on. Including replacing the matrix and rad switch. However the garage is in Austria and a good 450km drive from here. I don't want to drive the car with a faulty matrix, but it's seeming like it might be the only option. What sort of problems will this cause (could this cause) ? -
Although if they do, you might have to go to stealers to make the work legit for the Valet companies insurance *shudders*

I'm waiting on the LHD version and then I'll go for it.... So all lefties out there.... make your voices heard ;)

What is it with moving..... on Monday my Heater Matrix went in the middle of helping my friend move. Always hire a van.... more room and less chance of a failure ;)

He means the rubber one... I think the armoured cable you're holding could be the oil feed line for the charger. Just don't use the car without this attached else you'll be risking the charger.

Well to be honest I only need it to last a 400/500km stretch of Autobahn..... but I'll go for a U-bend as it'll fit better I think. Thanks for all the help guys.... I'm sure one of these days something will go right for me ;) -

Just spoke to my boss at work, and he had the same thing on his Audi and replaced it himself. Not sure why but he's keepn to relive the experience and help me get the car running again...... If not then the bypassu-bend will do me fine till I can get a mechanic to look at it. Thanks for the pics andi... Don't suppose you have one of the engine bay where the tubes are do you ? -
* UPDATE SEE LAST POST * Well to make life worse (well it doesn't get any better after all) my heater matrix went last night while helping a friend. After all, no good dead goes without punishment. So... I limped it home and now have an issue. I need to drive the car 400km this Friday to get it to a garage that is doing some work for me. Along with this work I'll get them to replace the heater matrix.... At least I think it's the heater matrix as steam comes out the vents when the fans on hot. It's fine on cold though, so not sure if I have the bypass valve filted. Would be nice to stop things getting too wet and steamy inside. So this leads to my two questions and a prayer for help.. 1) What exact tubes do i need to bypass in the engine to skip the heater matrix and get the car running ? I know I need a 20mm copper pipe (90 degree angle) and a couple of clips, but that's all I know) Pictures would be great. 2) Since my ETKA has died on me as well.... does anybody have the part number for this ? and are there anymore parts that should get replaced at the same time ? Thanks....

So.. update. Had a problem finding the carriers for these and in the end gave up. Although I'm sure given the right incentive you can find these.... I got confirmation from these guys.... http://www.brakesint.com/shop.html They can get refurbed Girling 60 caliper only for about 55 inc VAT. No carriers though I'm afraid. No mention of exchange either.....

Very nice.... when do we get a group buy for these I wonder ;)
-
--- and by the look of it, slightly in need of replacement....

I had a lefty in the UK and never had issues... after all the only difference is the location of the wheel and interior from what I know. Still, never had problems with parts or getting things fixed on the car. Good thing is that left handers are cheaper to buy as lots of people will turn them down because it's not the norm. Just be prepared to put your hand into the side pocket when you go for a quick gear change ;) that one still happens to me on rare occassions.

Each person has there own favourites, but I've not heard much bad about the Pagid pads. Certainly heard good things about them in comparison to cheaper brands and your usual Halfords ribbish.
-
Not my style personally, but respect for going with something different... too many of the same wheels around the place if you ask me ;)

There are late and early model corrado's. I think the changeover year was 1992, so might want to stay in the same type to keep things looking normal. Is your bonet like this ---__--- or like this __---__ at this is the best way to check if it's late or early style.

Anybody got any thoughts ???
