I was actually planning on keeping it as stock as possible - including the airmanifold, but as I wasn't happy after I sandblasted it (and the "salty" bits most likely would return) I opted for powdercoating.....:) I guess my car will stay stock "enough" to still be a "stock" car....lol....;)

Looking good, btw have you done anything to your brake lines or are the double from front to back original?. IIRC my C only got 1 brake lines coming from the front, then into a "t-split" thingy before going into the compensator at the back......
-
Realy looking forward to this one.....;)

Just thought I'd whore the rado in here.....:)

Thnx, sure will add pics of the buildup as well :) I have a friend who does powdercoating and ceramic coating so the cost isn't that bad...:) (the real cost is in sending the parts as he lives in another part of the country)...;) -

This one realy cool IMHO (nice for fast driving too...lol): enjoy! EDIT: it's not a pro drug song - if someone might think so lol...:)

Congrats on a nice ride :), love those CC, to bad a R36 will put you back roughly £80 000 (second hand) (with roughly 20 000km on the meter) up here.....:(

hmmm, removing the subframe is quite straight forward, but I had the engine out of the car, you probably will in some way or another be able to support the engine (remember the two rear engine mounts sits in the subframe), but it might be easier to just take the engine out first?...... -

One more small update with some pics. The exhaust manifold with ceramic coating: some other bits with ceramic and powdercoating: -
I think you only need a H4 IIRC.

ok, where/what would one measure from them? From the sills to the floor?
-
Not sure I know what the "sills" means (not native english speaker)..:) I'm going to have to get it re-alligned after fitting it, as everything have been off the car (subframe etc etc), but I presume I should get the hight right, before I get that done also ?
-
Ok, will one measure from center hub to the wheel arch? (with the car standing on the tire, or can I measure it while the car is up on stands?) I presume it should be "level" when measuring then. thanks again.
-
Soon going to install my KW's on a VR - will I have to adjust number of threads individual or should the "thread count" be the same on all the coilovers?. (and the car "tilt" a bit, or should it be made "100%" level?)

Is it possible to get these washers in some other material?
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
Can't remember exactly where the ones that had "eaten" thru the aluminium is, but it was on the head shield running on the underside of the car, above the exhaust pipe. But you are right it's not like it's all of them, was just wondering if anyone else has this "problem" and maybe if they had any ideas if it was alternatives to these ones...:) -
Anyone know if it's possible to get these washers in a material that doesn't "eat" the aluminium it's supposed to be securing. Or any tips on anything one can treat them with to make them not react? The washers I'm talking about is these ones: (holding the heat-shield etc)

As I just had my Passat VR6 to MOT and one of the rear discs had to much rust, I'm thinking of using the disc from my Corrado (as that's in parts at the moment, and is getting new discs). I have already removed it from the Corrado, but the bearing that sits in the disc itselfe is still in the disc. Could I just move this "assembly" straight over to the Passat? (without changing the bearing etc)....will clean it with some brake clean and put in new grease though...:)

MOT fail...Only one sidelight when ignition off - FIXED!
Mawrick replied to clubsport78's topic in Exterior
Are you sure the car isn't supposed to do that ?, IIRC the VW's will turn down to parking light when you turn of the ignition, and I think on some cars only one light will be lit. (My Passat does that too, can remember with the Corrado as it's in parts), but my Passat was just through MOT, although it failed on some things this was not mentioned as a problem. -
Any of you guys have pic of purple Corrado with red or black

Removed the exhaust system - and ordered a Hartmann Cat-back system....:) Also did some sandblasting on the body to remove some small rust spots ("spot" blasting).......well that was yesterday....:)

will VW have records if this service have been done?. Also was this considered a "call back" of the cars?, if ti haven't been done is it then still "free" or what ?

wondering about the same thing, my car was produced late 1994, it's a 95 model, but produced in december of 94.
