  1. Old wipers and Rain-x?
  2. Do any of the later "Fan-style" jets fit to the Rado without resorting to bonnet bodging and paint? Much better window coverage than 4 (2.5 in my case)"trickles"
  3. Can't find heated jets for Rado on GSF... only listing they have in on-line shop is £1.70 and doubt they'll be heated!
  4. Surely I'm not the only one who just thinks.... Footballers...
  5. If I were her, I'd be after the garage who did the crummy rear-end re-spray!
  6. Shaun "The Hilbilly" Hollamby strikes again.... Remember when he was competing in, and sponsoring, and sole engine supplier to the (Old) Beetle cup.... His car seemed to be a good 5-10mph quicker down the pit straight at Brands (as was teh guy who actually built the engines and worked for Shaun), yet when checked it was "The same spec".... Also remember BBT tend to stock (or certainly did in the past) the cheapest Taiwanese tat you ever saw, I remember seeing a set of "Triple Chrome" bumpers rust over a Bug Jam weekend and it only rained once! Shame I can also remember when AMD were the nuts in VW tuning...
  7. I've ben thinking of a name for the past year for the Rado.... KIT! (or maybe not... )
  8. http://url.the-corrado.net/6d2d9c Now you can find out! edit: Mahoosive link now shortened... My old split's been off the road since '04 My Notch is SORN's My fastback's still running and My Trekker's BLUE! (was primer red with german-flag bonnet)
  9. He was then caught out by a freak Glacial period, whereby he massacred a small forest whilst avoiding an Elk all on a dead straight road .....
  10. Yeah I used to Drive a Scab 9000 with the really big squishy bumpers.... Touch parked a lot in that! (But only against walls/armco in car parks/ Saxo's etc..) and didn't even scuff the rubber! I did crack 2 front plates though.... If they've taken paint off they probably have left theirs on yours... look for similar coloured cars and see if they have your paint on theirs... Then Stab all 4 tyres.... Or Buy a Scab? ;)
  11. Especially as it was parked in an underground SECURE carpark at the time....
  12. Well another call from the Met (This time from the robbery squad in Peckham!) they arrested him this morning!!!!!!!! :thumbleft: :lcop: :thumb right: Will begoing to court for my motor and apprently "other charges" tomorrow morning, so not just my car he bled all over then... Hopefully a period of dodging the soap in the showers will ensue..... Ah Karma... :lying:
  13. My Dilemma too... But we have the flat to ourselves as the others are going out that night so A big bunch of Grand Prix roses and plonk myself on the sofa while she cooks..
  14. Unfortunately the blank has the Valet switches for my tempremental Clifford and I'd rather not disturb anything to do with that! It'll have to be a large flat blade.... and much holding of breath....

    Rain X

Have to agree Rain-Ex is great stuff, Have to re-do it again on the Rado, as its beginning to wear off since I did it in the summer. Used to use on my Single-wiper Skyrocket (Like that from the Factory NOT Ricer-ed) and hardly ever used the wiper above 30! Works on the mirrors too, rear screen not so good due to the air-flow over the car, needs a roof spoiler or similar to get a good effect (Found this on my old SCAB 9000 with no wiper, shoved some plastic in the top of the hatch/roof gap and worked great...but looked shite)
  16. Ok Am being a bit thick but how do I replace an early headlight switch? Can I do it without ripping the dash to pieces?
  17. Sportsman rules, you run to your dial in times (13odd for the Supra vs 11odd for the Flog) hence the slower car goes first. It's all about reaction times and who can run closest to their dial in time..... This is where the real art of Dragging comes in not who can mash the loud pedal the hardest....
  18. Ah Vanishing Point.... remeber seeing it at BugJam years ago.... One of my mates described it down the pub a few weeks later as: "Bang, Bang, fuc*ty-eye, Bang! Damn things dissapears and you're left with this huge plume of white smoke that ripped the sh*t out of your eyes" Was truely spectacular... did a numbr of runs that week-end all followed by 1/2 the crowd with their heads in buckets of water washing the Hydrogen Peroxide cloud it produced out their eyes (didn't have the mix right or something!).... But not popular with the startline crew at the posd as it also ripped the srface prep clean off! The Greens would have an epi-Joey-fit (for any-one over 30 this means something) if you did that today!
  19. However you could say that a Turbo comes under "fuelling/exhaust" mods.. :D
  20. Kev, sling the mail up if you still have it....
  21. Nope never not even with 30yr old + VAG items.... Had a rear drum strip its threds though... resulting in the wheel falling off at 60 and a very bent bug rear arch..... Mind you that was probably down to the Quality Brazillian Metal.....
  22. My J plate valver has total close on the windows (sunroof's jiggered ATM, will be getting a moonroof instead) again does the Pssenger first then the driver but I have to keep the key on until they both close. Not tried with my Alarm yet... Another thing to play with tonight....
  23. A-holes, anyone recorded this to DVD that they could copy and send? Don't think I canmake the Wed repeat (Ok I'll probably forget!)
  24. After reading supercharged thread on these bulbs being BOGOFF and blowing a bulb last saturday night (typical; No posing round town at 1am) I went and bought two for £14.99 at halfords, a Place I dont normally frequent. But I have to say with An upgraded loom with waterproof fuseholders these Bulbs are a major Improvement on OEM and OEM+headlight loom that was fitted before, its more Brighter and a whiter light. With Two ordinary bulbs for £10 in there in a dual pack its a no Brainer to pay the extra fiver for such a big difference. I didnt bother upgrading the inners as they were £19 for h3's if thats the right fitting. Thanks To All posters,Yandards + Supercharged Have also gone the "BOGOFF" route at Halfrauds, now all I have to do is take the bloody engine bay to bits to put them in! Dear VW thanks for making it si I have to pull my car to bits to replace a bulb!
