  1. Yeah Spencer Tramm's Funny Car... He's been on here a couple of times, and is on http://www.volkszone.com too....
  2. Hey Neil, how yellow do the headlights come up when they're on now?
  3. Dave: http://www.j-w-racing.co.uk/acatalog/OZRacing.html
  4. Screw you Pippy! Stop voting for the Buick! DumbA$$
  5. Loses the balance IMHO, fog/indicators balance with h/lights.... Neil, Nice front end though... If you do get rid of the fogs can I have first dibs? ;)
  6. Nope sorry I deny that, I just look at a stretched wheel/tyre combo and think "first hard corner and that's going to roll off!" or "how long before they kiss a kerb and muller those rims?" Like I said Old fart, that explains why I love Fat/skinny tyre combo on Rods though... Yummy and no stretch...
  7. Sorry never seen the appeal of stretched tyres??? They are designed to do a job within specific tollerances, so why try and stretch them onto a rim that they weren't designed to work with. Go with the correct one and better handling and ride will be had! It really is that simple! OK Old Fart ramble over ;)
  8. Voted again, now 153 behind the Covair! :shocked!:
  9. Quote from the vid... "On a daily driver they'd only need blowing out with an airline every 3 weeks!" :shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!:
  10. Sorry Rob was talking to a Tom on the phone whilst typing! Just proves men can't mulitask at some things!
  11. Had the same thing in my old place, and there was only 15 of us who drove in! Still found the culprit as they had a silver car with my paint all over their bumper! Beige, do delivery drivers come through the Carpark??
  12. Cheers Tom, Now you've sent Phil on another whhel buying mission! ;) Oh and me too..
  13. Hey guys here's my tuppence... Used to work in M/sport as techie and driving "coach" with data aquistion, if you want to get the most out of your car on a track day then a GOOD tacho and s/light are vital (esp if you have a tendancy or not running a limiter). Now the stocker's fine for road use but if you want to hit shifts all the time and (more improtantly) not destroy an engine through over-revving. You need a decent quality tacho, I have seen a "quality brand, and best selling" american brand tacho on a test bench be as much as 15% out at full whack! Now I'm not going to promote any-one's products but if you're interested in what I'd recommend PM me.. But I warn you they ain't the cheapest, but much cheaper than a re-build.
  14. Can some one (Herisites) please can you see if you can stick these on a Grey 'Rado (or a dark one) Just wondering what they'd look like... Unless some-one has a rado on 928 photo in their archives.
  15. Wow that seems really high! Even my 2-tonne Saab recommended 32/30! Will have to go and sort those at the weekend! Dave how's the wheel refurb coming? Are you still on your Speedline rollerskates ;)
  16. They sound way too high! There should be a sticker in passenger side door shut saying what the pressures should be, however IIRC, 30 fr and 28 rear sounds about right. Too high and you'll just wear the tyres out quicker,,
  17. Giggle... Compressed bush.... Fnarr, Snurk, Kyack.. etc....
  18. Same thong happened with my 1.8 Gti Rocket... except it actually kept eating Hoses, ended up replacing every hose in the engine bay and at least two top hoses. Only ever did it in the winter though.. and yes it had the correct Anti-freeze mix... Never did find the cause but had a new w/pump and Thrmostat, as well as temp senders (x3). Best of luck and keep us updated....
  19. Fully Polished... Yummy! I looked at these and thought "hmm Ford Capri RS" but seeing them against the car they do look 8) . Bung loads of photos up when you've got them mounted matey.... Prove me wrong! ;)

Just noticed this on teh motorway at the wekend... Soon as I eased up on the loud pedal it didn't smoothly decelerate. It was as if I'd just completely shut it of for a fraction of a second.... I just put it down to the tank of Shell "Super-plus" I'd filled it up with... But maybe the signs of something more "Impending" ???
  21. Well, courtsey of some plonker Hairdresser driving his TT almost into the barrier on the M11 at the weekend, I've got to get the windscreen replaced! Hoofing big stone at speed vs windscreen  Question is, the Screen looks like it' original (has VW markings same as the rest of the windows) so will my insurance cover the cost of another VW or will I have to have whatever the RAC/Autowindscreen etc.. have in stock. Or can I spec a VW screen? Also do I ask for a green top tint at the same time? Any-one who's been through this and can give me some advice??
